Ground yellow sulfur powder 99.5+ percent Pure elemental sulfur by Duda Energy chemical formula: S8 CAS# 7704-34-9 synonyms: brimstone, Sulphur commercial grade sulfur is Recovered during gas manufacturing as a molten sulfur. It is then cooled on a stainless steel belt and forms into a flake form. The flakes are then taken off the belt and ground into sulfur powder. The sulfur is without additives and is regarded as safe as animal feed/an additive to animal foods. It is not considered suitable for human consumption. Commercial feed grade sulfur has many uses: additive for feedstock/animal consumption fertilizers/soil treatment (commonly used in large farms) adjust the pH of soil, which is essential for certain fruits such as blueberries excellent as an additive to a lawn/garden rids of pests (spread into a garden to scare away snakes) kills/repels insects (keeps ticks off a dog's hair) burning of sulfur kills insects with sulfur dioxide fumes sulfur is insoluble in water. Only mixtures in water can be made. Sulfur powder has a low Flammability rating. It can be compared to wood in terms of Flammability. When burned, it creates sulfur dioxide, a Poisonous gas which can cause harm to animals and may also cause many health hazards If burned in large quantities (acid rain is one of them). in the old days, people used to burn sulfur powder to remove pests and clean out fields. Note that Pure solid sulfur powder does not burn easily because it requires a lot of oxygen to get a sustainable Blue flame. The only way to make it burn well is to mix it well into the air. This can be done with a specially made sulfur burner.

safe and helpful in my bath
I was a little concerned in buying this after some reviewers were issuing warning and dangers. ...LOL... My first bath I put in 2 table spoons of this stuff along with 2 tablespoons of baking soda and a cup of epson salts. The funny part was I was afraid to soak in the bath, so I hesitantly put my fingers in and the pain started easing out of my arthritic joints, so I took the plunge and my whole body just loved it especially my knees and back. I have been doing this soak 1 x a week now and it has made such a big difference. Now, this does smell a bit from the bag, but not in the bath or on my skin. I went and made up a batch of jars of my mixture and I will keep soaking.

Best product for killing mites
If you have those horrible biting mites, this is the only thing that kills them every time.I hate putting it in my bed because some always migrates to my eyes, but anyone with these monsters knows anything that kills them is worth it.Almost instantaneously. Powder it in the shape of your body where you sleep, rub some in your arms, chest, belly and they won't come near you.Unfortunately you can't put it all over as it stains. I am using cheap microfiber towels until I'm rid of them, I wouldn't put it on my nice percales.

Much better than the $300 vet bill
Yellow Sulfur Powder is becoming hard to find, this product was just what I needed for my dog that was suffering from some type of skin parasite for which the vet could not find a cure. After only four days of dusting my dog from head to tip of tail the parasites were gone and his suffering was almost no existent. I treated him three time per week for two week and have followed up once a week for the past couple of months and my dog now has all his hair back and is skin has cleared. Much better than the $300 vet bill.

3 pounds of powdered sulfur
everything came as expected great product that I can make a lot of useful things with. I bought this product to use on my skin and the skin of our 2 dogs. our dog chance has really bad skin reaction to the fleas in our backyard and his skin is never looked better since using this sulfur
