Berghaus Women's Hillmaster Ii GTX High Rise Hiking Boots

Tried these boots on when they came with my thin house socks on. Little concerned that the left boot felt a little tight. Right boot was fine. Decided to wear them to take the dogs a walk today and see how I got on with them. The left boot as expected was tight because today I was wearing my proper boot socks. The right was fine. Anyway out and about with the dogs my fears of the left boot was dispelled. Although I only did two miles I thought that would give me a good idea of how my feet were going to get on with these boots. Well my feet found these boots really comfortable, my feet were warm too. Grip was as expected because the soles are well treaded. My only very small gripe was the ankle cuff on the right boot rubbed my leg but not enough to make any soreness. This will dissipate I’m sure as the boots wear and give. I had to walk through the wet grass and the boots were as expected water tight, gripped well through some mud to. Didn’t do any really rough ground because where I walk there isn’t any, but I’m sure these boots would perform well in that terrain as well. Overall a really well fitting comfortable boot, that will also keep my feet cosy and warm in the coming winter weather.

These are really good boots and fit perfectly from day 1. I walked for several hours over rough terrain with them straight from the box and they were really comfortable.As they seem to be on offer on a number sites all the time I am not sure you would ever pay the supposed retail price. But I am happy with them and if they last as long as my last pair of Berghaus boots I will be very happy. This post by Mrs Eric btw.

Bought these for my wife as I was told in a hiking shop that they where the same as and made by Brasher, there is a label saying Brasher engineered on the inside.On the outside they look the same that's where it ends the quality of the finish on the inside is poor stitching and sharp edges to the lining make these boots uncomfortable to wear. On the original Brasher boots there is no visible stitching and plenty of padding. We have both worn Brasher boots for over 30 years if this is the quality of the new ones then it time to change. Very disappointed.

Great boots, really sturdy but I find them totally comfortable. Only criticism is that the leather uppers on the toe have scratched and worn quite badly - perhaps they need to have the surface toughened in some way? But the problem is basically cosmetic, it hasn't made them leak.

I did a 9 mile walk in these almost straight out of the box and they were fine. My only gripe is the soles are not as good for grip on smooth surfaces as my previous Berghaus boots hence only 3 stars. I wish I could find a comfy supportive walking boot with the same excellent grip on all surfaces as my Dunlop Pro wellington boots!

I bought these boots for work as I walk approx 15 miles per day so I needed some great, comfortable boots. I wore them today for the first time and they did not disappoint! They where so comfy and waterproof too. The only thing that annoyed me was the lace on the left boot kept undoing itself. But that is just a tiny problem. I would defo buy them again.

Although not my favourite colour, these boots proved to be the best investment. I have used those for hiking, for work on site, in rain, for cycling and even for every day activities. They keep the feet really warm without having smelly feet afterwards! They are water-proof, very easy to wear and comfy. My size is 5.5 (38EU) I ordered excatly my size and it fitted just right. They seem to be very resistant, have had no problems so far. They seem heavy but they are very light for what they bring. Wish I could get those in a different colour

Have had other Berghaus boots which were nubuck, thought I'd try the leather this time. These don't come up as high on the ankle as my last ones but are very comfortable, no blisters on first outing and didn't need wearing in. Very lightweight too.
