Danco 80816 Complete Toilet Repair Kit Fill Valve, Flapper, Rod, Float Replacement, White

Had this kit installed inside my toilet within a half hour of starting the job. Would have been quicker but the water cut off valve was a bit stubborn. Works great and super happy with my purchase!

The media could not be loaded. I bought this Danco toilet kit seven months ago but did not end up using it on the 1955 toilet that I originally bought it for.I just got done moving to a new (to me, built in 1980) place and had a second toilet that was not working. After replacing the wall valve it became apparent that the old flapper inside the toilet was misshapen in a way that would not allow it to seal anymore. “Great!” thought I, “ I know I have a toilet rebuild kit that should have a flapper in it that might work.” Well, it did work with some minor cutting of the center section to get it out.While I was in there, I decided to attempt to use the entire kit in this more modern toilet, and - by and large - it worked.I’ve seen many a toilet that needed to have the float bar bent in unique directions so that was no challenge, no foul.The clear-plastic filler tube (that directs the water) included with this Danco kit would just kink and block flow if attached to this more modern toilet’s inside tube, so I currently have it just floating out in the water. The black tubes that come with other kits are better at refusing to kink/bend too much to break the flow, but this clear one will work with more space than my semi-modern lower-volume toilet has.Note that this is not a long-term review - this was just something I got done this this evening. I will change my review if something is engineered or manufactured incorrectly..

hard to find these old style ball float lever arm toilet valves. the new style with the cylinder float around the valve shaft are unreliable. This, however, was on the short side. I knew this going in from other reviewers and the product description and thought not a big deal as it might even save water. But I find that I have to hold the lever for a few seconds for this to work properly. Not sure if that's caused by the short length or other design flaw. It does work and no leaks so far

The fluidmaster style ones are junk! I did need to cut off a bit off both ends of the rod to fit our toilet. A different tube due to being so close to each other. Happy thx!

The flush valve component malfunctioned and stopped working properly. Initially, the flush valve would not fill the tank for up to 2 hours after flushing. Recently the flush valve began working immediately after flushing, but the water would not stop running. I contacted the manufacturer and asked for a refund. The manufacturer offered to send a replacement, which I declined, because of having no confidence in another unit. The manufacturer offered a refund, which would require returning the unit at my time and expense, and up to 7 weeks before receiving a refund check. I would have a non-functioning toilet for nearly two months under that scenario.The manufacturer suggested: “it might be faster and easier to get a refund through the retailer.” Unfortunately, Amazon’s website shows the following message: “Damaged or defective itemWe're sorry you received a damaged or defective product. This product is not eligible for a return or replacement”At this point, I have a non-functioning toilet, no replacement and no refund. I am extremely disappointed with this product, Amazon’s support and the manufacturer's support. I strongly advise against even considering a purchase of this product.

Flush valve works good but the flapper leaks worse than the one it's replacing.

Perfect fit for my toilet. It had ester constantly running and I just went ahead and replace everything and it fit perfect. It fixed the leaking water and works perfectly. Super easy to install and made with high quality plastic! Definitely worth buying to put in your toilet.
