Strong and sturdy. Perfect for hotel stays.
Never drop your iPad or phone on your face again! Love this dang thing. Was initially concerned it wouldn’t be strong enough to hold my full-size iPad in its protective hard plastic case…but it does!If someone is gonna complain about something on this product, it’s probably the stiffness of the rigid, yet flexible neck. It’s a bit of a bugger to bend around into place, BUT IT NEEDS TO BE that way in order to hold a heavier, larger iPad.Wish I would have known this product existed years ago. Works like a champ when watching shows, movies, whatever and clipped to the nightstand next to my hotel bed. I’m an airline guy, so hotels are a necessary evil. Great product for my needs.

Recommend!
Works well with my Amazon fire tablet. I like to use it to watch shows in bed. The clip is strong and it seems very sturdy and stable; it even stays attached when my cat head butts it. I’ve had it over a year and with occasional use it’s held up great and I’ve had no issues.

A bit too stiff
Conceptually, I love this, I just wish it was a bit more flexible. I have it mounted to my headboard for nighttime Kindle reading; it was easy to install and holds my device firmly in place. The arm is really stiff which can make it difficult to find the right angle and while trying to maneuver it around I often find that it will move the mounting bracket. My headboard is distressed by design so it's not a huge concern for me, but it could be damaging on other types of surfaces.

Great product, even better customer service!
I purchased this item almost a year ago, it worked great and I used it almost every night to read my kindle in bed. After almost one year of use, the arm broke in half while I was away one weekend. I contacted the brand (not through Amazon) to ask for a replacement since they offer a 1-year warranty. The customer service was extremely responsive, kind, and effective. They overnighted a replacement to me immediately.I would absolutely recommend this product.

Not strong enough for iPad devices
Overall, the product and packaging were nice. But I would not recommend using it for an iPad. The device is too heavy to be supported by this arm. If they had advertised it this way, I would not have made the mistake of purchasing it. I am sure it works great for iPhones.

Amazing piece of equipment
I use this to suspend my iPad above my bed to watch hands free videos. Wish I would have thought of and bought it sooner. Extremely pleased with the performance of the base clamp, cable arm and gripping hands/pad.Very very happy with this purchase.

Works well for holding cell phone in a specific way.
I bought this last November and have been using it for around 3 months now. It looks good and I've only used it to hold my cell phone. I mounted the stand to a window ledge behind my bed and it can accommodate about an 1.5 inch ledge. And they are not kidding when they warn it takes some strength to shape the stand to hold your device at a certain height and angle. I do like the fact that you can twist/rotate the device grip and run a charging cord to the device (bottom of my cell phone). I don't mess around with it's positioning much. Something to consider is that you or others are using it and end up changing the location or angle of the holder, it requires some strength. If mounting it to a desk or drafting table, you might be better off with the old-school -/'\,/` spring-loaded and easily-adjustable stands. I think the length of the bendable portion is good, but is hard to bend in place so younger children and elderly folks may need help with bending it. Also, if you accidentally hit it, it will spring back and forth until it stabilizes. If plugging a cell phone in overnight, I suggest threading your cord through the hole in one side of the device grip and plugging it into your phone and then fitting the phone/(tablet) into the gripper. I'm pretty happy with this for my nighttime use, but if I was using a tablet on my drafting table, I'd investigate other options such as a stand on the table or a clip-on stand with adjustable sections like a desk-light stand; I give this 4.5 stars. It fits my needs.
