Q: When you wash the item will the remaining marks wash away?

Yes, I sometimes get a double line when I iron a patten and after painting it let it set for 24 hrs and wash gently and the remaing marks wash away... glad to help.

Q: does the drawing need to be reversed so when you iron it on the fabric it is facing the way you want it?

Yes, you will want the 'mirror' image....looks correct when you hold it up to a mirror. Thanks

Q: What color are these transfer pencils? I have red, but they show through. Would rather have a light brown.

when i ised them, the pencil lines wahed out completely

Q: I have tried everything to get the lines to wash out with NO luck. Is there some trick to getting the lines to dissapear?

I used Shout in the blue bottle. It took 2 washes. But I was washing on delicate cycle. I also read dish soap works -probably Dawn blue as it's such a grease cutter. My pencils were red. And red is notoriously stubborn to remove. Good luck.
