Stopped working after 5 months. Apparently it's past the return window.My revision: I found that the problems was that the top and fallen off, the fuse and several parts ended up on the floor of my van. Once I got the pieces re-installed, the charger worked. I've marked down one star since the thing fell apart on its own. But if you own it, just be aware that the fuse can be replaced with a screw on piece....and that piece should be checked every once in a while in case it comes loose (and maybe you won't find the three pieces you need!).

I received my package today 1/19/2023. Back on Dec 3, 2022 my garmin 51 gps device went black while driving to attend my cousin's grave site. Normally I unplug the power cord from the cigarette holder and it comes back on well this time it didn't. It flashed an update was needed so days later finally plug into the back of my computer . Was able to update the device but once plugged back in car it still didn't come on automatically. Pushed reset button on back it hesitated to come on . Flashed battery low and it went black in less than 10 seconds. After multiple attempts seeing my garmin power/ charger cord was lit green still puzzled why it isn't working. Made purchase in Nov. 2017 and felt it had much more life was willing to try something else before breaking down to purchase a new device. Thank God plugged up and presto device lit up I sat in the car for 2 mins before turning it off I am so elated. Hopefully I won't have to do an update later that it stopped working,

After 3 years of daily use my first one is giving me trouble. Still charges my phone but gps doesn’t work. USB still plugs in firmly and doesn’t fall out. Hard to beat for the price really good quality.

Im a tanker truck driver and this works great on mY garmin Dezl OTR 500. Can confirm will work with trucker GPS. Love how it has a USB port to charge phone over the road!
