20pcs Oval Freshwater Pearl Oysters with Pearls,Pearl Oysters,Akoya Oysters

As a kid I used to pretty much live to go to Disneyworld and go straight to EPCOT then beeline to Japan to open an oyster for a pearl. This was 20 times more fun, right in my kitchen! No smell at all. Perfectly sized and super easy to crack open. I got excited for what color may pop out with every clam and if I were a teacher of younger kids or even had young ones around, I would use this as a fun teaching tool of the amazing beauty and versatility of nature. I'm getting these for girls night next.

I had bought a large oyster. It gave me a beautiful pearl. This was easy to order. Paying for was easy. Delivery was quick and early. I took my time opening them. They were great. The sizes were at least 6 mm. Different colors. I may buy this again just to see what I get. I think they inject them with dye. Because the oyster was colored inside a few of them. Bought twice and second batch had a beautiful range of sizes and colors. Will definitely buy again.

The media could not be loaded. I was bored and had nothing better to do than to order these and see some pretty colored pearls. I constantly stress so I counteract by doing weird projects. After unwrapping, the shells, were all different sizes.They were kind of fun to open. I did notice that some of the pearls rattled around the inside of some of the shells. I did get these on sale. I wasn't expecting perfection, so I wasn't surprised that none of the pearls were round, but the colors were beautiful. Just be careful when you open them. Because if you crack open the edges, they do become sharp. Hence, the star wars band aid there that may show up in the picture. It was a fun 20 minute project/side quest to do. Just don't try to crack the middle of the shell, because you never know where the pearl is located. There was a slight odor when opening the packages, of course, because they are, after all, shells with the tissue, membrane still inside. I would say, don't eat it after you take the pearl out. I'm sure they don't taste good. Definitely put them in secure packaging, or take them straight to the outside trash. They are pretty though.

I bought these for my kindergarten class to conclude our week learning about animals who live in shells. Each oyster 🦪 contained a beautiful pearl in 8+ different colors. The kids were thrilled with them. They were easy to open and we were able to go through all 20 in about 30min. I will for sure be getting these again next year!

They are beautiful pearls, rather large compared to others I've bought. I was a bit disappointed that there wasn't a greater variety in color, (half so far have been blue). Thankfully most people opened this set on individual events so nobody figured out the lack of variation, and, most people like blue. I kept them in the refrigerator once they arrived and before and after gift giving/ events, smell has not been an issue.

I believe these clams were already opened. The real pearl was taken out of them and they were placed inside and resealed with a glue of some sort. I didn't have to do much digging because they were just placed inside. As soon as they open they fell out. Fun to do. But I definitely will not be buying these again 😂
