SVS is the REAL DEAL!!! Holy cow!!!
Stunning, clear, punchy, powerful bass out of the box... I have been using a Def Tech Supercube I for years for my theater, and 2x B&W ASW610's for music.. I switch between the two depending on my listening needs, sometimes all 3 if the movie calls for it. The SC 1 is amazing for movies, but is too boomy and in-articulate for music so I use it for that only. The B&Ws have great sound, but are not very powerful. Just don't have that awe factor during music. Sure, jazz and rock are pretty good on those, but they fall short with any bass heavy music. And I wanted to simplify my system. If you don't listen to heavy bass stuff, then B&Ws probably are for you...In comes the PB-2000 Pro. After just one good review after another, and some that said the SVS is just good at everything, they were not kidding... So I had to pick one up.This thing out performs all 3 subs I had, even when they were all on at the same time. It's louder, punchier, deeper, has amazing flexibility on music genres, movies, shows, etc.... It has the subtlety to do jazz, classical, and other non-bass heavy music. It slams when you need it!!! Movies, well not only is it louder and more impactful than the Def Tech, its sound quality really does make a big difference. Explosions go deeper, but somehow sounds better than the Def Tech. The DT can hit hard, you feel it in your chest, but so does this SVS. And it does it with such high quality sound that I was really taken back.I did not expect the deepest frequencies to sound as good as they do from the SVS. I was even thinking about getting 2 of these, but this one sub is so darn impressive that I am going to use that other $1k for bass traps and room treatment. I have yet to really do any fiddling around with the settings either... I have it on the defaults. I will be doing some refinement, but at the moment I am really shocked how good this sub sounds without any calibration and break in (SVS doesn't really believe in that tho).

Awesome bass that will shake the house
This subwoofer is awesome!!!! Purchased this subwoofer to replace a JBL 12' powered sub. This sub is quite large but sounds great. It provides great background base for tv watching while packing a huge punch when needed. This sub will shake the house with crisp clear low bass. Really like the ease of adjusting setting with the easy-to-use Bluetooth app. If I had the space, I would buy a 2nd one. Well worth the price and highly recommended.

Decent.
Well, it's been a few months now and the Bluetooth issue hasn't happened since. 5 stars. Would recommend. Now if I can convince the wife we need a second one.....Well, I was planning on waiting quite a while to review this but I guess I'll write it now....I have had this for 21 days now and as of today, the Bluetooth/app connectivity is having issues. The app couldn't connect to the sub, so I turned off my Bluetooth, but the problem persisted. I did a force stop (I'm on android) and still no connectivity. I cleared all app data cache and storage, still no connectivity. I uninstalled the app and reinstalled it, but again, no connectivity. Finally, I turned the switch located on the back of the sub to the off position, let it sit for 30 seconds and turned it back on. That fixed the problem. The Bluetooth connectivity was really what sold me on this sub. I did get it on sale for $950 (allegedly new lol) here on Amazon, which was about $650 more than I really wanted to spend, but I wanted a 12" with some power behind it and figured if I'm gonna spend money on a new sub, I may as well get all the things I want.My wife gave me the green light when I told her there were multiple presets via Bluetooth so I could easily dial it down if she went to bed early or was studying for a test yadda yadda. Having a "day" preset, a "night" preset, and a "party all night" preset has been so useful, but not even a month in and I'm having issues with it???I built a 2.1 stereo with biaxial two way drivers and a 10" 100w sub from scratch (well, I bought the driver's all separately and made a custom tuned box for all of it) and the cheap class d "grade A chinesium" amp that I put in it hasn't had any issues at all in the last 5 years, and it sits out in the garage 24/7 in 110°heat and -10°cold.If this thing fails as soon as it goes out of warranty, I'm gonna be livid. I would only recommend this sub tentatively as of now.The sub continued to play audio, but only on my low volume setting, which is quite low and I had to spend 20 minutes troubleshooting my $950 brand new sub, just to turn the volume up. So there's that.On party mode, I boost the 20hz, 40hz, and 80hz frequencies because those are the frequencies that seem to resonate in my living room. On day mode, I try to tune it to have a nice flat response and use the room gain compensation to help do that also. This thing can crank out some serious raw SPL.BUUUUUuuuut If I'm gonna pay close to or over $1,000 for a speaker, it better work for more than a month. 4 stars because other than this issue, I love the sub. I guess I'll get used to crawling behind the sub every few weeks. In too deep now.

Great sub, few minor flaws
I have a large living room with solely in-ceiling speakers, so I needed a sub capable of reasonable SPL, particularly at sub-30 Hz end of the range. This sub has been great in that regard.I took one star off for a combination of three factors.1) It does not use paired Bluetooth. That of course makes it very easy to connect to via the app; you just start the app and hey there's a subwoofer to connect to. However, it also means if you're in an apartment/condo and anyone else happens to have the SVS app, they can tinker with your sub settings.2) It has no visible light on the front side to indicate it is on. I like to know that the auto detect power is working properly, or more importantly, turning off properly when I'm done, and I can't know that like my old Velodyne.3) It costs a bit more than big name alternatives, but is made in China just like them. Not sure if that's just a reflection on SVS' size, or they take more profit. I'd pay more to have it US-made, if that were an option, but given it isn't, I would have expected pricing that was closer. I'm happy with the purchase, but would prefer to support US biz, and we'll see how it works out long term.
