When I used to work out, yes used to, I would chew two of these prior to my group aerobics class. Other people seemed to be able to have an energy drink, or drink coffee before they went to the gym or whatever, but I would get a side cramp if I even sipped a tiny bit of water before or at any point during the workout.However for some reason I was able to chew two of these blocks and get into that class which had weights and abs at the end, and give it my all with no side effects that I could tell.Didn't use them at every class, only certain classes. And only if I hadn't gotten much sleep the night before and was waking up sluggish for an early gym class.Why five stars? The flavor is pretty decent for being an artificially flavored giant soft gummy cube. But you kind of can't go wrong with me if something is in gummy form. Yes, the flavor is a bit artificial but the only flavors I've ever had include cherry and strawberry. And it's not off-putting enough to avoid.No artificial sweeteners that I can tell, and I do tend to be pretty sensitive to that. Doesn't seem to have any outlandish ingredients and the caffeine source is green tea extract, which somehow seems a little better than whatever is in energy drinks. Although I admittedly took every final exam, and national boards on Red Bull in grad school lol!After grad school, I went off of caffeine except whatever was found in chocolate.But I do a lot of fundraiser events, and one time we had the date wrong for one of the events and they were back-to-back 5Ks. We were in an unusually hot September for our region, almost 90° and we were super tuckered after the first event. We had literally an hour to rest and get to the next one.Not recommending this, but again I can't drink liquids and then work out, so was unable to even drink any water between the events after pouring sweat during the first one.Quickly purchased some of these, we each chewed two blocks/cubes before the second 5K, and while I'm not going to pretend it was easy, I'm not sure I personally would have found the energy otherwise.Now it could absolutely be placebo effect, but somehow whatever the extenuating physical circumstance, they seem to work without making you hyper, jittery or even realize you've taken anything. So again, could be placebo. Or it could be magic.Worth a try!

I used these for my half marathon. Gave me a boost of quick energy and they tasted amazing.

I personally was not a fan as I like to run on an empty stomach and this made me feel like I was eating while I was running.My husband loves these. He always likes to run with a small something in his stomach. He loves the flavor, feels like it gives him energy during his runs and appreciates having something to add to his stomach as he is running.

Tasty, seems to help with my long runs. Kinda hard to chew and run but over all am pleased with them
