Good value for speech.

Good reception, plenty of volume for speech (speaker or earphones), not a great choice for music. Quite heavy, but i guess that's because the very effective speaker depends upon a substantial magnet. Good value for speech.

Great little radio

I spent a lot of time looking for a portable, battery operated radio. I looked at this one and the Grundig but eventually opted for this one.First impressions are that it’s tiny. The photos make it appear a lot bigger but it’s roughly no larger than a credit card and about as deep as a chocolate bar.Turned it on and it picked up 88 stations right away.I wanted it for the speaker and the quality is great. A little tiny but loud enough which is what I wanted. This will mainly be used to listen to football matches and it works perfect for that.Really pleased with itEdit**Having used this for a while now a few things to note.1) The battery life is incredible2) I use it in the car driving around and the signal is amazing3) the buttons are loud and very clicky. Annoying at night4) station saving is difficult but finding the station you want is easy so don’t bother5) just stop reading reviews and buy it. You won’t be disappointedI also contacted customer service and they were very helpful and trustworthy.

Great Pocket Radio - Sounds great when plugged in to a boombox or headphones

Liked -Its palm sized. Its easy to read the screen and the buttons are easy to press. The sound quality from the line out/headphone jack is fantastic. I had the DAB plugged in to a portable boombox and it was bang on.Disliked -I'm a little worried about breaking it. Its very light and made of plastic. The antenna is also very thin and flimsy. It wouldn't take much to snap off. You have to be a little careful not to bang it around.Nitpicks -Its internal speaker I would say is a little better than your smartphone speaker definitely louder but its what you would expect for something of that size. Fine for vocals and harmonics but don't expect bass.I've never had good luck with reception when it comes to pocket radios in my area. I've have to extend the antenna fully to get a signal and getting a stable signal on the move with earphones can be problematic since with DAB as its results in harsh cut offs compared to FM which just weaves in and out. This is specific to me. Recepetion varies from place to place.

Best yet

This was for my mum. She is thr destroyer of little radios. This is the 2nd I bought her in 6 months. The last didn't have the time on so was deemed uselessThis so far has been great. And thanks to people answering my question about the time being displayed has the timeShe said the sound is fine and works. But mostly has the time. For me it was easy to set up and works out the box. Charged well and seems well made.Very clear screen and reception seems to be good too.

Not compatible with USB-C power supplies

The most attractive thing about this little radio to me was the USB-C port which I thought meant I wouldn't have to worry about keeping a 'special' power supply/cable for it and I could use one of the many power supplies/cables I've got for my other devices. Not so. Unfortunately, it only charges using the supplied USB-A to USB-C cable. I have tried five different USB-C power supplies and none of them worked. Clearly the manufacturer hasn't complied with the USB standards. This is probably a killer for me. As soon as I lose or break that little cable, which I probably will, the radio will be useless. And until I lose it I will spend all the time worrying about losing it.Aside from that the radio is quite impressive given its size. The functionality is identical to the long-serving portable radio I replaced with it although the signal is not as strong - perhaps unsurprisingly given the difference in size. The built-in antenna is extremely thin and bendy - the top two sections are thinner than a paperclip. I guess it won't stay straight for long! The battery is tremendous. On my first use after it arrived I listened for about 6 hours without charging beforehand and it only lost one bar out of three on the battery indicator so I guess the 18 hours listening time claim is realistic. The speaker isn't good to be honest. 'Very tinny' and not very loud. My mobile phone speaker is 1000 times better sounding, smaller and louder. The controls are not intuitive. Whereas on most radios holding down the ^ button starts searching up the frequency band until a station is found, on this radio holding down ^ stores the current frequency/station in memory - overwriting whatever you had in the memory already. Very irritating. In fact there is actually no way to search for a station. You can run a scan which will go through the band and auto store all the stations in memory (again overwriting whatever you had in memory already) which you can later scroll through but if you want to, for example, tune in to Radio 2 (88-91mhz) you have to keep clicking the ^ button 0.1mhz at a time until you hear a clear signal. wort case scenario you'll have to click the button 100 times to get to your desired frequency. Things work slightly better with DAB where the only option is to run a scan then it brings up a list of stations in alphabetical order that you can go through until you find what you want - just don't hold down a button to scroll through them quickly!

Brilliant little radio

Really can't fault this - I brought it as an ultra light radio to take backpacking however I've found myself using it in the shed / Shower / when moving from room to room around the house.Yes the speaker is tiny, but for its size it's perfectly adequate interms of loudness and quality. The earphones are also fine and sound good. It's easy to tune and just does what I want it to doIf you want a light weight, highly portable radio with excellent battery life that you can listen to through the speaker or headphones then I don't think you can go wrong with the Azatom S2 πŸ‘

Very poor signal both FM and DAB hard to use

It’s very small and portable but this comes at the cost of it being awkward to use. The dab and fm signal very poor tried in numerous places and have have up on it now. Sounds ok for the size of it but I wasn’t expecting good sound quality.
