Great family game!
This is one of our favorite games! We got it for my parents for Father’s Day and have one for our own family. It’s our favorite to pull out when we have friends over.

Great game!
This game is a hoot! It is like charades, but you can only use one syllable words. A lot of fun for the whole family! Highly recommend!

Nice game, bad delivery
It’s a good game, yet it mostly works with english words. Regarding the delivery, sadly it arrived broken, we needed it for a weekend birthday and we just assumed the loss.

Harder than you think but lots of fun!
The game is very simple. You get a 1 and a 3 point clue. You have to speak in one syllable words (like a Neanderthal) if you don't, your enforcer from the other team gets to bop you on the head with an inflatable club. The big words don't trip you up, it's the smaller words like "only" or "bigger".Everyone is split into two teams and you have one minute to get through as many clues as possible. You get penalized a point if you break the rules and get bopped on the head. This is great for almost any age from kids to adults, and the games go by quickly. As soon as everyone has had three turns you tally up the score. There are no questionable clues in the original edition so it's perfect for the whole family!

Fun game
We were taught this game by my in-laws and had fun with it. But, we needed to see how the grands would take to it. The older ones (11 and 13) did pretty good. The nine-year-old took the role of the Oops bonker and wanted to play. She will do better in a few years. The six-year-old wants to be included but doesn't read or understand enough to be a real player. Still, the eight of us had a good time. That experience encouraged me enough that I will now get the expansion pack to have a larger bank of words/phrases.This game is fun but challenging in two ways. One is obvious--you can't use multi-syllable words in clues. I still get tripped up by that. The other is in thinking broadly in terms of what words can mean. The younger players, in particular, had a hard time thinking beyond the specific image they had for a particular word. For example, our word was CASTLE. The 13-year-old trying to describe it had too limited a vocabulary to convey it to others. For example, he didn't think to describe it as a house or building (which he couldn't have said in any case). A facility to think laterally and use words you know to give clues is important. (My wife is a savant at this. Her team always won.)We don't recommend using the sand timer that comes in the box. Use your phone to make a more predictable timer that includes a noisy alarm. We also didn't stick to a 90-second limit. When we were taught the game, we used a three-minute timer. That was TOO LONG, as we used up too many words. Teaching the game to the kids, we used a two-minute timer. As we get used to it, we may lower that to the recommended 90-second timer. It is a fun game that we will enjoy for some time to come. Recommended.
