When this arrived in a different bag than my last order, I initially thought a third party seller may have substituted a similar product, but I posted a question and the distributor replied. It really is just a change in packaging.As far as the candy goes I've never really noticed any effect from the ginseng, but there's only a small amount in these and ginseng is pretty subtle. They taste good, though.

These are odd to my anglo pallet. They smell and taste like joss sticks--Japanese incense--but are not unpleasant. Sweet but not too sweet. If you like to try new things these are worth trying.

I love this candy! There's an initially odd wood/root sort of taste when you first put it in your mouth, which dissipates a few seconds later to a nice honey sort of flavor. I have shared this candy with just about everyone, including friends, family, and boyfriend's family. The general consensus is "wow, these are pretty good." The worst review I got was "not bad."If you eat two of these, you get a nice boost of energy from the ginseng, which I find really useful to combat the fatigue I get from my chronic illness (EBV). It is also soothing to the throat if you are sick or have allergies.I received this candy as a gift a while back. I finally ran out and had to buy more! The price seems kind of expensive, but this seems to be the best deal for the quantity you get. It is a pretty big bag, and I would guess there's about 100 candies.
