Q: Does one entire package of this make just 1 cup to drink or do I split it up?

I’m not sure ( I got it long time ago) but I believe you can do more than one cup.., but it wasn’t the best one I had... enjoy!

Q: Is this the salep used to make icecream?

Yes. On earlier trips to Greece we experienced Kaimaki ice cream, and were told it was flavored with Mastic Gum. In attempting to make Kaimake, I found a recipe via google. That recipe also included the salep. That recipe, which did not include eggs, will require further tweaking, but yielded an ice cream which tasted as we remembered it.

Q: Is this the same Sahlab that they serve as a hot vanilla drink in Israel?

I do not know. I bought the sahlab to be used is a rather peculiar Greek ice cream--in which it has worked wonderfully. The packaging shows a glass tea cup-like container, but one cannot tell is the contents are to be drunk or eaten with a spoon. It is somewhat starchy, so as a drink it might be somewhat thick. I am sorry to not know more.
