After 23yrs I think the original is RIP
I have a PO300 in a 23yr old truck that has sat for 2 years. I'm chasing down all possible causes and fixing them one at a time. This like everything else is helping. Hasn't cured it yet. I figure it's still money well spent. If it's not the solution at the moment I've eliminated a potential future problem. After 23yrs the truck deserves a little TLC.This EGR valve fit, was easy to install and seems to be working properly. Can't ask for more than that.

Can Cause Big Problems
I installed this on my truck and it was great for 3-4 months. the truck started shutting off randomly and setting P1635 codes. ( 5 volt reference circuit low). The EGR valve was shorting out the circuit. I was fortunate enough to catch it before it destroyed the PCM.

Quality is suspect but for the price I will try it. Gasket didn’t fit 03 Impala 3.8, but the unit itself looks like an OEM. Sensor connector pins were bent as well. Car is working with first tests I will keep you posted if it failsEdit: Throws codes, sending it back

Gasket did not fit
Good replacement. Works as it should. The Gasket did not fit and had to clip the ends to fit over the studs.
