What a great blanket! 100% cotton quality blanket for my bed is what I was looking for and I found it with this Madison Park Egyptian Cotton brand. It lives up to all those positive reviews others have written and those are the reviews that ultimately helped me decide to choose this brand.Those negative reviews about excessive lint? I didn’t see it after washing and drying it before using. How about those negative reviews about snags? This is a fairly tightly woven cotton blanket but snags can certainly occur if you let pets with nails jump on the blanket. Yeah, I guess those who rated it a one star ⭐️ were right...for not using enough precaution to avoid such an obvious danger of damage to a woven cotton blanket! Besides, if you do get a snag (and let’s face it, most woven cotton blankets will eventually get a snag) they are easy to repair. Just use your search engine!Some negative reviews referenced the blanket not being thick enough. Well, that’s a very personal perception and expectation. I was looking for a blanket I could layer by putting the blanket on top of my flat bed sheet and then put my down comforter on top of the cotton blanket. PERFECT for me! This blanket provides the year-round flexibility to use it as an added layer to keep warm during cooler temperatures and is just right when only a bed sheet and/or a light yet sturdy cotton blanket is needed during those warmer nights of sleep.Also, with my comforter having a cotton duvet cover over it, the comforter doesn’t slide off the bed when it’s on top of this blanket. More sleeping comfort!Don’t be swayed by some of the negative reviews. This is a great cotton blanket. Not too thick, not too thin, nicely woven and won’t just stretch when you pull on it to get more covering...the entire blanket will move! In fact, I’m so impressed with this blanket I’m ordering another color so I can seasonally mix things up. Oh, and the color? It was pretty darn accurate to the color in the picture! No regrets!EDIT 07/2021 - Update: It’s been more than three months since buying the khaki colored version of this blanket and have been using it on my bed ever since. I LOVE this blanket. As mentioned before I was looking for a cotton blanket that was not too hot or too cold and this one has passed the test during the hot months of mid-Atlantic weather.After living with this blanket for three months and really enjoying it, I purchased another one in blue. It arrived packaged brand new, no snags, I washed and dried it easily with no overly excessive lint realized and very minimal (if any) shrinkage, no pilling and super cotton soft. This Madison Park brand blanket is the best cotton blanket I’ve had in decades. So glad I found it! I’ve attached a picture showing both blankets purchased.

Bought this for my daughter who can’t stand the fleecy blankets, and loves the cotton feel. It washes well and it feels good. It looks light, but it does keep you warm. It its a nice summer/winter all round blanket Fits in my washing machine

The material is soft and seems like it will be durable, but when I took it out of the package, I noticed that on one side of the blanket, it looks like it's starting to get a "run" like you often get in pantyhose. It's really only noticeable when holding the blanket up to a light, so I won't bother to return it. I'll try to mend it myself to prevent any possibility of the "run" getting worse over time rather than going through that hassle. I just would have hoped that on a "luxury" blanket, the weaving would have been consistently tight everywhere.

First off, this blanket has a more refined look than the standard more casual looking waffle weave. I think the tighter weave might also be less prone to pilling and snagging. The weight is perfect and the seafoam color complimented our seafoam color walls beautifully. This is by no means a warm blanket and I didn't want it to be. I live in South Florida where I usually just sleep under a sheet during summer but after summer I need just a little bit more but certainly not something too heavy. This blanket was thinner than other cotton waffle weave blankets we've purchased in the past so I was pleasantly surprised when I go it. My goal was to buy the lightest weight blanket I could get. Because it is cotton and not synthetic it is very breathable not leaving you sweaty or clammy by morning. If you are looking for a lightweight, breathable cotton blanket for warmer weather months that looks better than most then this is your blanket!

To start, I have to say how much I love this blanket. I’ve been looking for some time to find a blanket that won’t make me too hot (…night sweats 😩), yet, cozy. Perfect with just a sheet with this changing weather, but also great under a quilt for real warmth. I’m not a fan of waffle knit, but the pattern in this blanket is very pretty. But, I do have a few qualms about the blanket. I was looking for a soft rose color, and online this looks like the color would be almost mauve. But, once taking it out of the package and washing it, the blanket is definitely pink… it’s fine for now, but I’m tempted to give it to my granddaughter who loves pink. The worst part for me, is that it’s not dog friendly! After only being on my bed for 3 days and with our dogs jumping on it, the blanket already has lots of pulls and even a few holes. I’m so disappointed! 😢 Not the fault of the company, but just a note, that if you have animals that like to jump onto your bed, I would not recommend this blanket.

This is a quality blanket with one flaw: it snags too easily. Simply pinching and pulling on the raised weave causes threads to pull out. One should be able to grab it without worrying about this issue.

This blanket is soft and durable. Perfect weight for summer and a great second layer for winter

This is probably my favorite blanket, it keeps me at the perfect temperature, has a little bit of weight to it, and feels great!

The colour is beautiful and was exactly as pictured. The blanket goes perfectly with my decor. It is luxurious and soft but is a looped knit so it pulls easily.

I love this well made blanket. I laundered it before using, I dried in dryer until barely damp and it came out beautifully.
