Item arrived one day early than estimated. Excellent packaging and undamaged will no leaking fluid. Arrived as pictured with a set of instructions in the box. I personally found the instructions useful because this is the first time I am using this product. Use gloves when applying the cleaner, will dry out your skin. The cleaner is strong and when applied as instructed works wonderfully removing most of the caked on dirt/debris and oil. I applied the cleaner twice to ensure the cotton filter and screen were fully cleaned properly. I waited one full day for the filter to dry. Following the instructions, I applied the oil, waiting the 20 minutes between to avoid over saturation. Applying the oil to the top of the pleats made applying the oil easier (as instructed). After assuring an even application of the filter oil, I reinstalled my K&N filter. Being patience and thorough makes this process much easier. I recommend this original K&N product to clean you K&N filter. Again, wear gloves when applying the cleaner, the solvents are very strong.

Works great! After two years of not cleaning my filter, I can tell a huge difference in vehicle power and operation after following the provided instructions. Very happy with this product.

Follow their cleaning directions but with a warning. If you are very careful a little gentle tapping after the solvent has worked its way into the filter can assist and dislodging some dirt. But be very careful as the filter itself can crush if you start bashing it against the side of the sink. I ran this filter for a very long time before I cleaned it perhaps 25 years. Of course this depends upon the total mileage and how dusty a world you live in but there is no clear indication and how long one goes between cleaning- my lotus did perhaps 60,000 miles. I think you can get two cleanings out of the set up

I have an S&B cold air intake in my 2004 GMC Sierra 2500HD (the LLY Duramax) and this was the least expensive filter cleaning/recharge kit I could find. I have used this kit in the past on genuine K&N filters too. It's all pretty much the same stuff. Cleaning the filter is time consuming, but worthwhile; oiling the filter is REALLY time consuming (plan on 30 minutes if you've got a big one like I do). Hopefully I don't have to do this very often.

Easy to use and comes with directions. Best to use with K & N filters. The box can last up to 6 months depending how often you clean the filter(s). I highly recommend this items for washable filters. it is a life saver and when used properly you can see all the dirt removed from the filter(s).
