Love everything about this motherboard.
Fantastic AM4 motherboard for the price when purchased on a deal, with a 5700x3d I have a near silent system thanks to fan control when in simple work model but can fire up when gaming or doing intensive CPU work, the GCC software is convenient to use and non-intrusive. Performance is excellent, 100% stable. Rev 1.5 shipped, no BIOS updates to perform. Easy build around this motherboard. M.2 on gen 4 slot brilliant, plus additional M.2 gen 3 slot.

Excellent midrange motherboard
I recently purchased a GIGABYTE B550 AORUS Elite V2 motherboard, after doing a lot of research and comparing the features of different brands. I had heard great things about Gigabyte, so I decided to give it a try.Upon receiving the motherboard, I was very impressed with its sleek design and top-notch components. It arrived in a very minimalistic box, and all of the components needed for installation were included. After I had finished connecting all of the necessary wires, I was ready to boot-up my PC with the new motherboard. The performance of the GIGABYTE B550 AORUS Elite V2 motherboard was outstanding. It worked exactly as advertised, running my AMD 5800X processor at its fullest potential. With this motherboard, I can easily keep up with the latest games and applications. Additionally, the AORUS Elite V2's integrated RGB lighting looks great, allowing me to customize my gaming experience further in terms of aesthetics.Overall, I am very happy with my purchase of the GIGABYTE B550 AORUS Elite V2 motherboard. It has amazing performance, and its features make for a great user experience. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a high-end gaming motherboard.

Great board, so I bought another.
***UPDATE*** Still rocking this rev 1.2 board 2 years on and have also bought the latest rev 1.5 its now running a 5800x CPU same 32gb ram and a new GPU. Rev 1.2 and 1.5 have an entirely different looking bios but all the same options are there. MAKE SURE YOU UPDATE YOUR BIOS TO THE RECENT VERSION WHICH FIXES A SECURITY ISSUE WITH AMD CPU's. RECENT BIOS WAS A COUPLE OF MONTHS AGO and make sure you download the correct bios for whatever revision your board as you can brick the motherboard installing the incorrect bios you can find the revision of the board on the outer edge of the box on a white label or on the corner of the motherboard itself usually located near the red caps bottom left if installed in the computer, not sure if the bios tells you what revision but that's the easiest way to find out without entering the bios, format a USB drive to and copy the extracted downloaded bios onto the USB reboot enter bios and q-flash locate the file on the USB and pucker up lol.Excellent board, this was an upgrade for me from the b450. I have a 5600x CPU and the old motherboard had the dreaded USB issue when using the 3000/5000 series CPU's, I put up with it for a while but decided i needed to upgrade. Aorus board arrived yesterday installed it booted up straight away with the 5600x installed and 32gb ram changed the XMP for the ram and rebooted. Took the next hour to figure out why it wouldn't let me install Windows 11 from USB, First of all if you are having this issue make sure TPM is turned on in the bios and also in the boot menu section of the bios turn off CSM, and set your USB stick as the main boot device, F10 save the settings and reboot windows should start the install and work fine from there. This took me ages to figure out so hoepfully that helps, also when the new CPU is installed and you cant get into the bios you might have an onscreen prompt that asks your to press Y or N just press Y ;) then you can access the bios.I have been using the motherboard for 24 hours and its awesome getting full speeds from the re-size bar and 4d decoding (smart access memory) the PCI-e x4 m.2 and GPU socket are a nice bonus and the lighting features and a lot better than the budget gigabyte board i used to have using RGB Fusion, also the audio is top notch too.highly recommended and it works with the 5600x out the box, I also updated the bios to latest version for the new security patch its recommended on the gigabyte aorus website page

Top quality am4
Very good am4 board the only problem I have encountered is that there isn't enough rgb pins. Besides from that, this product has been very versatile to gaming for me and I highly highly recomend to those thinking of upgrading from older hardware.

Decent
Decent mid range motherboard, has 2 reasonably frustrating downfalls which are it does not have a USB-C on the back (despite the b450 version having this, I have no idea why they removed it) and the RGB is basically non existent- I have no idea why they bothered as there's hardly anything there and your GPU will block out most of it anyway. The m.2 being on the same PCIe bus as the GPU is great and the board layout is great. If you are one of those people who is using external liquid cooling to the AIO be warned there are only three 4 pin headers so if your running 6 fans (or more) you are going to have an issue, but I guess if you require 6 fans an aio and a water-cooled run you won't be using this board anyway (or you are unnecessarily overdoing your cooling setup).Only 4 SATA Ports may be an issue for some.BIOS is good. It's a good board but it could of been better.

Excellent value budget gaming motherboard
This was at the higher end of my budget for a £800 gaming PC. It is excellent value - very easy to set up. It does come with QFlash but this was not required as it came with up-to-date BIOS out of the box. Has a good quality ALC sound chip on board with 7.1 sound and was very easy to install.

It's perfectly fine for the job at hand.
Is it the most feature rich, action pack, top of the range motherboard? No.Will it do the job of running a Ryzen 5000 series CPU? Yes, out the box with no issues.Does it have features that make it worth the Black Friday deal of £97 making it cheaper than its less well equipped non-Aorus B550 Gigabyte brother? Yes, 2.5Gbit LAN a better PCIe layout and and 2 nvme slots.Installed a Ryzen 7 5700X with no updates required, running stock settings and the system is running great with some DDR43600 and an older GTX1080Ti which is most definitely the system bottleneck now, but this update was for a future GPU upgrade and includes a room for a minor but not insignificant CPU upgrade within the 5000 series if needed.100% recommend for a mid priced but well spec'd motherboard with a decent bios to boot.
