Worked as expected, using SDHC on Intel Pentium 90Mhz system!
The smallest SD I had sitting around was 16GB, and Windows 95 OSR2 can only address 2GB per partition, with a max of 4 partitions per disk. I had no problem creating 4x 2GB partitions theough this adapter. This means a few things - this adapter is fine with low-level disk calls, so anything you might want to do with the "spoofed" disk will just work, no need to prepare partitions, filesystems, etc before installing the card. BE AWARE though, if you do this the filesystem will NOT be available to other OSes unless you install the whole adapter.Runs at the full speed available to the chipset, which is 15MB/s. It sits around 12.5, which means it is just about perfect for 100Mbit ethernet. At the end of the day, my project was just for grins to see if I could get it working, but if you need to get an OLD system working for an important reason, this thing would be a life saver.**In case you are wondering****While modern hard drives are still compatible with PI/O on paper, I have not found one that works correctly in this system once everything is installed. They try, but random errors start popping up within hours and the partitions corrupt within days. Been running on the adapter for 2~ weeks now withh no problems

Perfect for PIII Retro PC
Seems solid. Works perfectly to dual boot a PIII with 98SE and XP, the computer can't tell it's not a physical IDE drive.

Worked right out of the box on a Commodore Amiga 2000 with Buddha Plus One IDE card!
I bought this as a way to transfer files between PC and the Commodore Amiga 2000, and it did the job quite well with a 4GB SD card. The card doesn't seem to use FAT32 like SCSI2SD solutions for the Amiga family, but rather formats in the card in AmigaDOS which Windows sees as RAW format. However, you can add/remove/copy files to/from it with WinUAE on a PC, even though Windows doesn't recognize the SD card format. I am running Kickstart 2.05 and Workbench 2.1 on the A2000. I highly recommend this card, especially for the price! SD access times are very fast!!! A+++

Needed for 486 PC restore
I purchased this to bring an old DOS-based 486 PC back to life to play old games on. Works as intended and is pretty easy to get going if you're handy with old computer technology from the 1990's. The only reason I'm giving it 3 stars is due to the lack of mounting hardware for it. It's an odd size, so finding some kind of caddy for it has proved elusive so far. I'm not really keen on the idea of just hanging it off an IDE cable and calling it good. I would have paid extra just to have some mounting hardware with it. Some kind of bracket to fit where the expansion cards and easy access to swap the SD card without taking off the lid would be perfect.

Works in a Windows 95 machine.
Worked as indicated. I was able to just plug it in, format the card, and then install Windows 95. I have not done extensive testing though, so I can't say how long the SD card will last under use.

Worked for retro-fitting a Win98se PC
I used a 4GB flash to replace a dead 3.6G HDD. It's faster than the HDD. It worked OK. I wish there was an included mount bracket for a standard size HDD bay. It worked OK.

Must use single ide cable.
This card does not have a way to select master or secondary. I tried using a normal 2 drive ide cable and my computer couldn’t see it. When I switched to a master only cable it worked perfectly.
