Q: carbohydrates in bitter melon

First, the carbs are not listed on the bottle. I prefer the Yarrow Bitter Melon tablets over the fresh bitter melon vegetable. They have a natural vanilla flavoring to make it easy to enjoy. The fresh bitter melon is just extremely bitter tasting. I tried it several times and found it disgusting. I had to drown it in Italian salad dressing to kill the taste. I bought it in two Asian food markets in town. I also noted that fresh bitter melon goes bad fast as it gets white mold on it real fast. It is safe to say these tablets are low in carbs. This is not a high carb item. You should not experience sugar spikes after this. Remember, bitter melon is used in Asian culture to keep the sugar level down. I have no problem with this product.
