Took down some wallpaper in the new house and uncovered cracking paint underneath. The old owners had painted onto plaster without primer. Tried the household scrapers I already had but it was obvious that wasn't going to workOf course, I've only purchased one of these so I cannot compare to competitors. I did some research and read reviews and this one seemed well regarded. Others may be better - I don't know.However it's worth noting that scraping paint off a wall is a very hard job even with a good scraper. This made the job easier, but certainly not easy by any stretch. I was doing one 2mx2.5m wall and the job took maybe 6 hours with this. Personally if I were doing anything larger than one wall I would be looking for professional assurance or else some sort of electronic tool or heat gun etc.

I used this to strip walls that have several layers of wallpaper and paint on. It's a very labour intensive job but it made it as easy as it could be. Get yourself some ProDec Advance 4in blades to go with it as the blade it comes with is ok but will dull quickly or break with heavy use like this.
