2 years in, I'm still unsure if it really filters.
I purchased this a few years ago in anticipation of fire season in the NW. Aesthetically, it doesn't look like a cheap appliance. In terms of the filters, though, the jury is still out. Yes, the white filter is dirty when I change it, but the air doesn't feel any better than other rooms in the house that don't have one. Filters, in general, are ridiculously priced and this is no exception. I'd feel better about buying them if I noticed a difference. I only continue to buy them because I'm already invested in the product and I'm a design nerd. During the pandemic, I taped a furnace filter to a box fan and had MUCH better results - granted, it looked terrible.

MUST need for pet owners
I can not believe the amount of dust and dander and fur that would be in this house if it wasn’t for this air purifier! The filters are so easy to change and last a long time!! I have two cats and I see a SIGNIFICANT difference in the dust and fur around the house while I’m cleaning! It also helps keep ALL smells OUT of your space!
