It depends on the fabric of the scrub pants. Please check the care label for the fabric content. This dye is best for cotton, linen, wool, silk and ramie. If it contains more than 35% of synthetic material (polyester, acrylic or acetate) then you must use rit dyemore for synthetics.

These 2 bottles are liquid dye. Yes you can dilute with water. Make sure to research the best dyeing method for your fabric of choice.

I would amuse two and let it sit for at least a day so it soaks in good. The longer it is in the drawer and deeper the color will get

Completely exploded!

Opened it up and it was exploded dye everywhere!! Fuming as I needed this for an order!! Had to put it in a sandwich bag just to pick it back up!
