Winter is Coming
I bought this Emergency Mylar Thermal Space Blanket for use at work. I have a particularly unique job manning a wall up North. It gets extremely cold and it's only getting colder as winter is coming. I thought this Emergency Mylar Thermal Space Blanket might help me stay warm during my recent patrols North of the wall. I brought all 5 with me on my last trek, which was invaluable as Craster's keep provided little to no shelter against the harsh winter winds. I used one and let my boss John and new friend Gilly use a couple more. Once morning came I set off on my own. As I walked out of nowhere a blizzard rolled in, so I took shelter behind a rock. There I watched as armed white walkers approached from out of the snow. All of sudden a white walker mounted on a dead horse gazed in my direction, but I immediately took refuge under my Emergency Mylar Thermal Space Blanket. Luckily, the size of the Emergency Mylar Thermal Space Blanket wholly covered me, although it couldn't drown out the the screeches of the army of the dead. I was able to get away safely, but not before long I came face to face with a bone chilling white walker. I tried to halt its advance, but the walker shattered my sword with his frozen hand and knocked me aside. With nothing left to protect me from the undead I cast my last of the five Emergency Mylar Thermal Space Blankets over the walker's frosted body. The walker howled in pain, as its whole body began to melt from the warmth provided by the Emergency Mylar Thermal Space Blanket to the point at which it fell to what was left of its knees and it's torso began to evaporate. I lifted the Emergency Mylar Thermal Space Blanket from the walker, but all that was left was a small pile of white dust which was quickly swept away by the cold winds. In summary:Pros:-Keeps you toasty warm in emergency situations-Comes with five so great for patrol groups-Vanquishes white walkers without mercyCons:-Cannot drown out the the screeches of the army of the deadAll in all awesome product, highly recommend!

Lightweight, can save life
1.8 oz, 50g. Always take it to the mountains backpacking trips. Even in summer thunderstorms and severe temperature drops can cause hypothermia. In situation like this, I would use emergency fire even if a fire order is in place, but this blanket can provide relief on a cold night.

Best Emergency Blanket
I purchased the Surviveware first aid kit several months ago and have been impressed by how handy it's been, whether removing a splinter or cleaning up a gash on my knee, so when searching for multiple emergency blankets, I knew this was a brand I could trust. As an avid snowboarder, I know mylar blankets are extremely useful to have in a first aid kit, so I already feel prepared for next winter. I had to show these to my dad, an Air Force vet, and he was likewise impressed, said they were just as strong as any he used in the service. The blankets sold in a 5-pack are a great bang for your buck. The way that I like to use mylar blankets is to spread one on the floor or ground, sit on it with my legs crossed or scrunched up close to my chest, and wrap a second one around my shoulders and/or head. I've found this the best way to truly stay warm if stuck outside.I recently went camping and used one on top of my sleeping bag for a little extra warmth, and it was just what I needed. Even though it's summer, the nights in the northeast are chilly. If I had wanted a lot of extra warmth, I would have wrapped it inside the sleeping bag. Great purchase.

A versatile product at an amazing price, five stars!
I’m a fan of Surviveware having bought their aid kits and tourniquets previously. Their new Emergency Blanket gets another nod of approval. It packs super small (4 3/4" x 2 3/4") and weighs next to nothing. I have already used one of these on a hike - we needed to extend our stay as one of my friend’s got injured. The blanket proved itself - it provided great thermal retention and it was the right size to wrap them in. I have carried cheap blankets for past trips but they are not this durable and are not as effective. The extra pennies I paid for these are well worth the price. Plus the great thing about a five pack is that I have enough for my first aid kit, car, boat and Bug out bag. An added bonus: I can vouch that they can be washed so you can also use them again and again. I also like the idea that you can create emergency shelters with these much as you would do with a tarp. I have heard of folks sticking them behind curtains to block out heat during the summer months. I’ve got AC, but if that fails, I’ll use this trick too! A versatile product at an amazing price, five stars!

Good price for very thin, multipurpose durable mylar.
This brand feels thinner than the ones that I have and the ones I used in the Army. It's also not true Olive Green as it implies (as compared to my wallet that IS Olive Drab Green) and more of a darker green. I like the fact that it is green one side and silver on the other side. The size is 52" X 82"Nevertheless, it does what its supposed to, which is trap in body heat at a fairly cheap price. I also use these with magnets to hang over the window and patio doors, which works well to keep heat out in the summer. In the winter helps keep heat in as well.

You can help someone less privileged with the gift of warmth.
I purchased 35 of these blankets for use by those in the Kansas City area who needed additional means of staying warm during the last brutal cold snap. I know of one woman, who lives in an unfinished basement, and was without heat because her landlord did not pay his gas bill, who received one of the blankets. Knowing she was a recipient of one of these blankets made me very, very happy. All 35 were not handed out at once. Because of their extreme effectiveness, one of the social workers asked if the remaining blankets could be distributed to the homeless who live on the streets. The answer was absolutely. For those who want to help others who are less privileged, these blankets can literally be a life saver.
