I had a bit of an unusual experience with this DVD player but learned that ieGeek has The BEST customer service I have EVER experienced!! The first player I got had a problem and would start and stop periodically. I contacted ieGeek support and they asked me to make sure the laser head was clean (I just had to wipe it gently with a cloth) and to video the DVD having the problem and send it to them. They determined the player was at fault and sent me a new one within a couple days. Unfortunately, the 2nd one had a similar problem so we repeated the same steps and they determined that this player was also at fault so they sent me a 3rd player (at this point I was sticking with this product mainly because of how supportive their customer support team was being!)....and I absolutely Love this 3rd DVD player. I can play all my DVDs on the player while my husband watches movies he likes on our TV. I have had No problem with this 3rd player. I am giving this review 5 stars based on their customer service.....and my loving this newest DVD player which works Great! When I am in the market again for something electronic, I will look to find one sold by ieGeek and that is the one I will buy......that is how impressed I have been with this customer service!! I strongly recommend this product because even if you have any problems, ieGeek will work with you and make sure you are totally satisfied with your purchase!

DVD player works well. Sound quality and video quality are excellent. The last memory feature is especially nice when you’re watching tv shows with multiple episodes on a disc in more than one session. I experienced an issue after 5 months with the DVD not working properly. Iegeek customer service responded quickly and sent me a brand new player no questions asked! Their response and action was above and beyond my expectations. I will certainly look for their products in the future. The replacement player is working fine.

I don’t particularly want to give up my dvd collection partly because you don’t really own the streaming products you buy. I rarely watch tv because I only really have time for entertainment when I’m doing things around the house. But I can take this with me from room to room and I tested out my 20 year old dvds and they worked perfectly. This with the charger/remote and my binder full of dvds fit snugly in a messenger bag and I can store it all on a shelf in my closet and easily take it wherever I want to go. The picture is pretty nice and the audio is plenty powerful for a small to medium size room. I’m delighted to have this!

The DVD Player is lightweight and the screen size is good, however since it is a region free DVD Player you have to go into settings and choose the TV Type first before playing a DVD otherwise the picture quality won't be great. For TV Type you can choose Auto, which means the player will decide based on the DVD you put in, but that doesn't necessarily work. You need to choose NTSC for TV Type for N. America and PAL for Europe, depending on the DVD you put in. If your DVD says Region 2, but the format says NTSC you should be able to use NTSC as the TV Type since it's a region free DVD Player. If most of your DVDs are from N. America or Europe than you should choose one of them as your TV Type. You may also have to adjust the brightness based on the DVD, which is also under setup to maybe a 3-5. You use the arrow keys on the remote to navigate the setup screen. Despite the DVD Player having swivel ability, viewing it from a side distance isn't as clear as viewing it from the front for some reason. It has been stated that you can watch at least 2-3 films before having to recharge the battery, we're not sure if this is true, but we did the setup and watched one DVD and the next time we put a DVD in the battery needed to be charged again, this may have been due to the fact that it only charged 6 hours the first time, which is what's recommended in the manual, but it apparently needs 7-8 hours.Update: Have had this DVD player for a while now and it needs to be charged more often than described. It doesn't seem to play two-three DVDs without needing to be charged again.

Great portable DVD player for the money

I was already going to give this DVD player five stars. It’s very easy to figure out, it has a really good picture and sound. I would give it ten stars if I could. I lost a part of it ( there’s just no help for getting old ). The company is sending me the lost piece! Sooo nice!

This is the second one I purchased. The first stopped working in less than one month. The second one worked fine for one day. On the second day I watched for one hour then turned it off. when I turned it back on it said it did not recognize the zone. I tried several DVDs that I have watched on other players, same problem! I will never buy from this company again!!
