I don't believe it was the problem
I bought this to go with a cheap Freeview recorder which I have now returned, as it was too cheap and just not usable. I didn't return this as it did it's job perfectly, it was just the unit I was using it with that didn't. I'm sure I'll find another use for it, but as a general purpose memory stick it is small capacity and so not good value for money.

It’s useless!!!
Sure it works in the TV but at 8gb you can record about 30 mins only. Pointless having a 4k TV when you can’t record proper 4K programs

This usb stick works perfectly with my television I don't have to format it either.

Neat little USB for Avtex TV recording, but lacks memory capacity.
This USB is very unobtrusive and has a much slimmer tongue than standard USBs so it is difficult to replace with a standard USB with a much increased memory. Although I delete saved items after watching a recording, I find the stick runs out of memory quite quickly and sometimes maintains a memory of the deletion. With only 8 gigabytes it is really not enough to store a series or lengthy film. I tried using an alternative make of USB, but had a lot of trouble inserting it, and though it did record, there was always a problem with the sound. This is the second Avtex USB one I have purchased and it seems to me that either one needs to be in possession of several, or Avtex need to produce a much more recording friendly USB with a bigger memory; probably the latter. I should mention this TV is in my kitchen not a caravan!
