Canon 2529A015 EF 200mm f/2.8L II USM With Lens Case LP1222 & Lens Hood ET-83BII, Black

Stunning lens- my only L. But it does the business. Bear in mind- no IS, but you do have the large 2.8 aperture. Oozes quality. Lovely to have a prime lens that does not suck in dust as you use it. I also use it with a 1.4 extender (2nd hand) for moon shots- although it's debatable whether that adds much- you can crop from pics and still be sharp. All this on a crop frame 650D (oh and an M3 sometimes)-The maths says this lens on a crop frame camera (ef-s) gives you an equivalent view of 320mm, and if you add a 1.4 extender, you get to 448mm- but bear in mind, the image is pre-cropped, so you are not gaining detail- just relying on the superior quality of the lens.

I am a Canon 7D crop sensor camera user and was looking for a fast telephoto lens as I want to get close to subjects without intruding on them. I was in between a zoom and a prime and opted for the Canon 200mm prime as I do not want to carry a heavy lens. So far this lens has performed outstandingly and focusing is super fast and image quality is excellent with incredible bokeh.I highly recommend this lens for anyone looking to shoot wildlife and portrait work, you won't be disappointed . This has to be the best lens i own the detail is pin sharp with very good DOF, i have this on my Canon EOS 550D and it looks very nice on the camera, Build quality of this lens is second to none as expected from a Canon L series lens has a nice weight to it, I just love the Focus ring so smooth, I was looking the Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8 L USM Lens but that was to pricey for me at the moment, I'm not a pro photographer and i have got some nice shots with this lens in Manual mode, I would recommend this lens to any one looking Sharp detail with blurred background. Fantastic prime lens at a bargain price. The image quality is beautiful on this lens. I use it for candid portraits and have taken motorsport shots with it. Used with 1.4x extender and 2x and it is still fantastic.

I got this at a bargain price and have been staggered by the amazing results.I use it for astrophotography and the only problem is that it has made all my other lenses redundant.

used inside on tripod only but seems excellent and small depth of field is very useful. Pity no stabilization - it is a huge help to one handed people like me
