STAIGO Replacement A1417 Battery for Apple MacBook Pro Retina 15" [Middle 2012-Early 2013] MC975 MC976 ME665 ME664 [3 Cell, 10.95V, 95WH, 8460mAh]

After 4 months of light use and only 35 cycles to its name, this battery now TURNS OFF my macbook at 17% no warning of low battery power or anything.So i would avoid this item.Buy original apple product.UPDATE After 57 cycles it now shuts off at 30% Even tho battery health says 99% in battery health app (screen shot added to this post) If you take into account the battery only lasts till the 30% mark the battery health is pretty much 70% ??? I think some mischief has been done to the battery indicator sensor on this battery to give false readings and make it seem everything is as new but isn't at all.I would avoid this product and buy something else.

This battery seems to work nicely in my MacBook Pro 15 Early 2013. I had tried another after market battery, but had the same problem as someone else had mentioned here. My laptop would turn off when power was down to about 15%, then I could hear and see the fans were pulsing as the laptop tried to turn on. I had to leave it unplugged for some time before it would power back on again. With this battery, it will go all the way down to 1% and will at least show me that it is charging when I reattach the power adapter. I suspect that the other one I had had been sitting there for a while (that one was manufactured in early 2016). This battery was manufactured in April 2017.

First impression is good: the battery works, shows 8473 mAh and on its first run works fine, showing 3hrs remaining after already 3+ hrs. But replacement was a bit of a horror story. The old/original batteries are glued in place. Best way to get them out is using a piece of thread, fishing line or floss to pull underneath the battery. Still, I made a puncture and the battery ignited. Be very careful! Once the old one was out, installing the replacement was easy. Not a job for the faint of heart.

A really good replacement for my original MacBookPro 2012 Retina battery. You will need a high tensile wire to remove the old set (not included). Other than that, the replacement was fairly straightforward. It shows up in the system information with serial number and cell status correctly and is proving to be a good purchase 8 months on with still a 99.4% full charge capacity after 29 cycles.

So far so good. Wish it provide the a tool or solutions to remove the old sticky tape of the old battery. But with the current selling price, I think it's very reasonable

works perfectly. I had the same problem as many of the other users in this review. the issue where the computer shuts off when it reaches 20% battery. You just have to reset the smc for your computer, and the computer will recognize the new battery. google how to reset smc on your kind of computer. i bet it will work

Replaced my original Macbook Pro battery with this. Works superb, easy to install.
