Laser 4926 Circlip Pliers - Internal/External, Blue

Exceeded my expectations, dont know how I did without this for so long, best tool I’ve bought this past year!

Excellent! I've used all the other types and they couldn't budge a circlip on my Mercedes ML's wheel bearing. This did it with ease. But I did have to trim some of the metal away with a grinder as it's got about 5-7mm more it can offer to do the job effortlessly without making the product weaker in any way.

I bought this tool to remove/re-install the pretty gnarly circlip holding the brake caliper mounting bracket to the hub of my Honda VFR800Fi. It was hard to gauge the size of the tool from the pics, but the "heavy duty" description gave me hope it would be up for the job.Indeed it was! It did a sterling job of removing the circlip and re-installing it. I had no issues with the tips coming loose as described by some other reviewers. The tips did pop out of the circlip the first few times I tried to remove it, but this was down to a combination of the fact that the holes in the circlip were larger than the supplied tips, and also the circlip was jammed/seized in recessed slot.. After a few taps with a flat bladed screwdriver, I freed the jammed side of the circlip, and was then able to remove it with the tool successfully.Re-installation of the clip (once all the parts were cleaned up and greased) was a total doddle with this tool! I'm delighted with it and would recommend it to anybody trying to do a similar job. I'm very glad I decided against the lighter-duty circlip pliers around, as there is no way they would have been up to this job. There is also no way I would ever have got that circlip out (or my sanity) in one piece, if it wasn't for this tool.The only thing I would mention is that this tool is probably too big for small circlips, maybe found in domestic appliances and the likes. This is definitely designed for vehicle and machinery sized circlips.

The tool arrived on time and well packed in its manufacturers pack inside a covering pack.This has the potential to be a useful tool but mine was poorly made and poorly assembled. As it was for an urgent job the ability to return it didn't exist - otherwise I would have for the following reasons.1. The thread bar was badly assembled so that the lower nut was only just engaging on its threads at full extent where the load is highest. As the job was for a massive 3" circlip, this was unacceptable.2. The interchangeable prongs did not sit square in their mounts. The 'out-of-line' meant that a tremendous strain was put on the tool & threatening to slip violently releasing the circlip. Not nice.The nut misalignment was cure by drilling out two of the pivot rivets, re-adjusting the two nuts and re-assembling with two 5mm bolts. The prongs were re-aligned with the attention of a needle file and 20 minutes work.Neither should be necessary with a tool like this, but once cured it works a dream. Would I buy again? Only if I break this one and I can see it before I buy.

This model of circlip pliers are OK, fit easily in the tool box and used for more heavy duty applications such as gearboxes and engine internals.

Not quite sure at first if they would work properly as am used to the normal plier type of circlip pliers but thought would give these a try and low and behold works very well on all size circlips that they are designed for no more effort to open or close by hand squeezing to remove or install or remove also good grip at circlip eyes where have sometimes tendency to slip out and could take you a couple of tries to remove also gives you a hands free to assist with screwdriver for the stubborn ones that have been there for for a few years.

Makes things easy when dealing with circlip's.
