ASUS TUF GAMING Z790-PLUS WIFI, Intel Z790, 1700, ATX, 4 DDR5, HDMI, DP, Wi-Fi 6E, 2.5G LAN, PCIe5, RGB, 4x M.2

I always buy Asus Tuf motherboards because I want reliability. Looks great in a glass case setup and I have used them on my last three builds. I've paired this one with a gen14 i9 and DDR5 ram and it has worked without any problems as expected. I use it for both gaming and game creation and I honestly wouldn't look anywhere else. If you want a solid product that will last, I would highly recommend this brand.

I bought this to replace my old Gigabyte MB that was 12th gen with DDR4 memory (although was reliable as sin from day one). For me the natural route was to upgrade to a 14th gen (backward compatible) DDR5 board to upgrade the CPU at a later date. The install was fine, some nice extras and also Wi-Fi if needed that works well. However not long after completing the build I started having random BSOD's and total system shutdowns for no reason. It carried on right up until I decided to try and see how it performs with a 14th gen CPU. I also had to run an older BIOS as the current one just would not work, so trying the older BIOS I got it to run. Changing the CPU was the trick, now using a 14th gen i9 I have not had one BSOD, nor system shutdown/failure. It is as solid as a rock. Not keen on the gimmicky software supplied but I can live with it, why it needs to constantly download every option beats me but other than that it is a good board, works well, is reliable and looks good if you have a glass sided case.

I've been buying ASUS motherboards for as long as I can possibly remember, and this one certainly doesn't disappoint.It's the second "TUF" motherboard I've had now (changed due to upgrades rather than having any issue). I prefer my PC components to be understated and reliable, without flashy or over-the-top designs, so this fits the bill perfectly.Loads of useful and futureproof features (4x M.2 slots, PD3.0, TB4, 2.5GbE and so on). I know you don't exactly throw a motherboard around, but has some real heft to it and feels really solidly put together.

Never been disappointed with an ASUS motherboard. The more you spend, the better the specification, however no point overpaying for features you will never use. Double check your requirements, factor in some future proofing, and ensure your power supply has the required connectors.

MB installed fine, all necessary hardware included. Manual was clear and easy to follow, performance is as expected - good. ASUS has a bad reputation currently for customer support, dodgy BIOS updates and frying AMD chips, that being said I have no issues with this MB, though you may want to consider MSI or anyone else until ASUS fix their internal issues.

So far I'm impressed with this motherboard. Has plenty of space for components. Boasts 3 SSD slots, Wifi on it or my reception is poor not sure which. But other than that flawless so far. Performance wise doesn't miss a beat! Speed high performance, plenty of room for cooling and option for that! Overall impressed.

not working 😕 😑 😒

This motherboard is excellent. I had used in with i7 14700k for 2 weeks and no issues. However since the 13 and 14 Gen on Intel processors have an issues I had swapped the CPU for i9 12900 kf and I can say its fully compactible with this motherboard and ddr5 at 6000 MHz. No problems and the CPU actually runs cooler than i7 14 gen
