I used this product for the roof of my summerhouse. The previous roof had split and torn about the tack heads and should have been changed at least a couple of years earlier. But it looked fine and did not leak.I did my research and found lots of products not to buy, I settled on this one hoping the 15 year life will be that long.My summerhouse is 5 metres long so an 11 metre or a 6 metre roll would have suited me better as you need to allow an overhang on both sides. 10 metres leaves me with a 9 metre plus waste. There must be many people out there who would like something a little less wasteful. Incidentally the rolls are exactly 10 metres long. I was hoping for a little overhang and that I might have been able to get two lengths out of one roll. I would gladly have paid for the cost of producing a smaller or slightly longer roll.The people I brought the summerhouse from make a 6 metre and an 11 metre roll for this reason, but finding the felt had only lasted 5 - 6 years I wanted something with a bit more longevity about it.If you are looking for a thickness of roof felt from the 1950-60 you won't find it here, but on saying that you won't find it anywhere. These rolls are par for the course and hopefully being reinforced with polyester should last longer.I laid out the rolls on the lawn, measured them, cut them and re-rolling them put them on the roof for laying. They did not tear and had to be pulled back and forth and up and down until in place and all without tearing.The only problem you might encounter is that once you have the first piece down, you have to stand on it to lay the second up the roof. If you kneel on it the toe-cap of your working boot tends to scuff the surface, this is where your slippers or soft toed shoes might come in handy.I was worried about the rolls getting damaged in transit but they are paper covered after manufacture and slipped into a heavy duty plastic bag, this bag is then sealed around the rolls at both ends forming a protective collar, this is further crossed with two pieces of tape to add to the protection. None of the rolls I sent for were damaged in anyway, which is more than I can say for our local DIY supermarket.I shall be 82 when they need replacing, hopefully not by me!A good product which came on time, I would certainly use this company again

The real proof of the pudding is in whether this product lasts the test of time which is why I paid the extra than standard shed felt.However, it arrived promptly, 10m roll was just enough for me to cover my shed roof (other products come in 8m lengths so 2 rolls required).I have re-felted the shed roof and it appeared fine, the accompanied nails were welcome. It is British made which is a bonus.However, 10 years will need to pass before I can really say that it is a great product.

The weight of the full roll alone tells you this is a substantial product.Despite being very difficilt to tear by hand (just tried it as a test on an off-cut), it cuts easily with a box-knife or strong scissors. I found it easiest to fit in warm weather, when it was much more pliable than on a cold day. Has rejuvenated and protected my near 40-year old shed.

Great product, fast delivery, certainly strong. Supplied roof tacks were an added bonus. If I had another shed to roof, I'd certainly order this product again

I ordered this because it said it would last 3 times longer than standard felt. Now I am no roofer but I fund it hard to believe that this felt will last 3 times more. I read one comment saying it had a rubber backing which is not the case so what am I looking for to make it stand out to regular felt?I can't see any. Same thickness as standard so have they sent me the wrong item?Time will tell but I will be back to updateUpdate is that it does seem to be a 15 year lasting felt , Thats what I have been told anyway but it does not have rubber backing.

This is now fitted to my shed roof, I used cold tar and it looks great, easy to fit. received in good time and it was packaged well, quite heavy whilst rolled up but nice and flat on my shed roof now. Tacks were handy. Very pleased.

I have just finished re-roofing my shed with the Ashbrook Supergrade and I can thoroughly recommend this product. The weather has been hot, and it could be that this made the material more pliant. I didn’t experience any problems with it tearing, nor did I have any difficulty folding the corners. I found that there were more than enough nails to secure the product, and I made a separate purchase of adhesive for overlaps for added weather resistance. If anybody wants their shed doing locally, I offer my services and I will be using this stuff 😀
