It Works Well For Me
Outstanding! I don't travel as much as I once did...my previous traveling garmente bag lasted at least 15-years. The quality and construction of this one seems to be well done. I really like the slimmer profile, yet it has a meaningful packing capacity.

Beautiful and hopefully practical suit case
I have used Samsonite for all my travel in my life. The couple times we tried with other brands, no matter how famous a name they were, we always came back to Samsonite. I have used my last one for over 10 years.I shopped for another one now not because of any defects of prior product. It's thanks to the luggage handler from my cruise ship or whoever handled my piece of luggage after it arrived at the airport, somehow they were able to make the handle stuck in a position and hard to move it up or down. After it's been abused for years instead of trying to ship it to a Samsonite repair shop (unlike before pandemic we cannot take it to a shop by ourselves and have to ship it out nowadays) we decided to get a new Samsonite.I have not used this new suitecase yet but examined every single part. It's the right size for tiny me. As always with Samsonite the material is sturdy yet not too stiff, with enough extra pockets/storage for different purposes. Hopefully it will be easier to distinguish from other luggage at the conveyer belt too with the blue. With mostly hard shell suitcases in the market these days I am glad Samsonite still carries this well made soft cover suitcase.

Great Suitcase
We have used this for two international trips and they were great. The 4 rollers roll smoothly and are easy to control. I would recommend these to anyone. My larger one is not as large as some others but I like the two sizes and am actually glad I did not get the large suitcase. The small one is great for weekend of overnight trips. One of my best purchases in several years.

A major downgrade from Samsonite's previous offerings, garbage in 7 trips
After 22 years, the handle on my trusty Samsonite rolling garment bag (of identical dimensions and form-factor of this item) finally broke. The warranty on that bag was for 10 years, so a 22-year run was amazing.I purchased this bag to replace it, and I have no confidence that this bag will last anywhere near as long.- The skid plate across the bottom that protects the bag when dragged off of a curb or baggage cart is gone from the new model. I expect the cloth on the wheel side of the bag to fray and wear through.- The skid plates that protect the wheels from damage on baggage conveyor belts are gone.- The main handle is now just a piece of cloth rather than a solid handle. I had to wrap it in a pad so that it was not painful to carry.- The telescoping handle is now 3 inches shorter. The bag now hits the heals of my shoes as I walk with it and I have to crouch down while rolling it.- The interior "shoulder" pockets are much smaller and less padded and can no longer fit a shoe inside. In the older bag these pockets were ideal for carrying fragile items wrapped up in padding, inside a shoe, and inside a reinforced corner. They are much less secure now.- The wheels are of a smaller diameter and look to be less sturdy.- The zipper pulls are all smaller and the zippers themselves are less substantial and are thin plastic like you would find on a gym bag. Other reviews have noted that the zippers can break, so I am being extremely careful with them. The overall formfactor of this bag remains fantastic, but I expect to have to replace it again in just a few years, making it not a good value. There are other similar bags now, and I will likely shop other brands for my next purchase as the quality that Samsonite had at the turn of the millennium is just no longer there.July 2024 update:It lasted 6 trips. On the seventh, the hanger holder broke and it is now no longer a hanging garment bag, and is ready for the trash.Meanwhile, I was able to replace the handle on my now 23-year-old Samsonite bag with a length of cotton strap and it is now back in service as my main travel bag.
