I've had these things for almost a year now and they have been super helpful to keep pest away. I got them around summer time, usually when they 'buggies' come out to play lol. So coming around 2025 summer, I shall update next year on how they are doing and if I needed to replace them.Overall, I HIGHLY RECCOMEND THESE!!I was a bit skeptical at first bc I didn't think they would work, BUT! I've been using these since I received them 53 days ago. In my experience, they are effective against earwigs and spiders, but not against mosquitos. To be fair, the ineffectiveness against mosquitoes may be due to me sometimes unplugging the devices. This is due to the fact that the ultrasonic noise produced by the devices is at the low end of the ultrasonic spectrum so that people like myself, with extraordinarily good hearing, can often hear the device. This confirms that it is indeed working and not just a glorified nightlight. But this also makes the devices somewhat effective at repelling me. My compromise is to leave the devices plugged in when there is more background noise to distract me and when I am away from home. This way, I get the benefit of the devices without hearing the extremely high-pitched noise. Those with normal, or even good, hearing will probably not hear the devices. It's only those with a very rare ability to hear this high on the sound spectrum, as measured by professional audiologists, who should expect to be able to hear the noise. I'd give five stars if they were reliable against mosquitos and/or if they were more highly pitched so that I couldn't hear them. As it is, they're a worthwhile investment.

So I have given this many months to see how it works and then decided to write an honest review. I placed these down in our finished basement as our daughter moved home from college and now uses this as her apartment space and bedroom but was concerned with seeing a lot of spiders down there. We have always had issues with spiders in our finished basement so I figured I would give these a shot to see if it would help elimate or help with the problem For the first month or so it seemed to draw out more than it scared away but I read that this also happened with others so continued to give it time to see how they worked. After many months my daughter said she has noticed less spiders than before and she feels this has made a difference. She does state she has noticed no difference with other bugs like beetles but with the weather changing maybe more are trying to come inside for the warmth. (We live up North and going into winter soon). I also wanted to mention we have 5 of these in our basement and they all give off a little bit of light in addition to the nightlights we have so it’s not so dark down there either. They do not give off any noise either and are super easy to use, just plug them in. So, do they work…I would say yes! Overall I would recommend this product to others and would buy again if needed.

I think this product did eradicate the mice, but not the cockroaches.
