Best value for money, reliable
Been using this brand for a few years. Runs pretty well and smooth. Always brings back to life old computers from graveyards with them. One of the cheapest and reliable I’ve tried from Amazon 100% recommended

great ssd, made my laptop faster
i bought this ssd to make my laptop load things faster, and it did exactly what i bought it for, windows loads a lot faster, with other pleasant side effects like the battery lasting this tiny bit longer, and the laptop being this tiny bit quieter.its got good performance, not only windows loads faster, but games and other programs load faster than on hard drive.for the value of capacity to dollar, this is a good drive. using the ssd as a boot drive for windows 7, 476.94 gb is shown on the drive, not anywhere near the 512 gb on the amazon listing but it was a capacity upgrade from my old 500 gb hard drive, and most other ssds will have this effect too.overall, a great upgrade for any laptop with a spinny drive.

Great upgrade for HDD
As computer MSP we have ordered several of these for upgrades. The speed is very good over HDD and the quality is also good for the price.

Great, just don't put important files on it.
I've really enjoyed this SSD for a while but it seems to have some issues. I have had the drive for a little under two years now. I've been able to install my butt load of large video games and it's honestly been great, easy install, easy setup. I've recently noticed some connectivity problems. I haven't gotten to checking the physical connections of the drive yet as my pc is in a difficult to reach spot. The first time was fine. I had a little panic trying to find the drive and access my installed games. I restarted a few times, screwed around in the bios and disk management settings, and all seemed to be well. I was able to enjoy my games again. Just today (7-19-2025), I booted up my pc to play some games. My pc wasn't reading the drive in my file directory. I figured I would do a few restarts and screw around in the bios. The bios showed the drive was connected and readable, however the file directory wouldn't show it anytime I booted up. Thats when I went to disk management to find that the drive was unallocated. I have to completely reformat the drive to use it again which of course, wiped everything. Drivers were up to date, it was reading perfectly fine. All of my data seemed to poof into thin air. I got lucky that I only installed games on the drive with all of my game data being uploaded to a cloud. Be careful with what you install on it. If you don't want to lose important files, don't install them on this drive (or at least back them up consistently elsewhere). Great for gamers minus having to reinstall terabytes of data back.

Good value, some cut corners
Performance is quite good and predictable for a drive of this price point, much better than some more expensive drives from better known manufacturers. Read speeds are about the theoretical limits of the SATA bus, depending on factors like your file system, file size, etc. of course. Writes are slightly lower in burst, and substantially lower in sustained writes that overrun the SLC. However, I did find that they were able to sustain much faster write speeds than the budget line of a *major* SSD / memory manufacturer. These drives are also rated at almost twice the write durability. So, pretty good value for money.Silicon Power chose to cut cost by forgoing metal in the SSD case, these are plastic, so these drives will not sink heat off very efficiently. However, they do run on the cool side even with this handicap, so long as they're not in an unventilated hotbox of a system, they should be OK. As of these writings, these drives are not in the smartctl database (7.3/5671), so expect reduced telemetry on systems where you don't install their bloatware. It'd be very nice (and go a long way towards their credibility) if Silicon Power made the SMART info for their drives public.
