Looks Very Good But Only Time Will Tell
We have six 100 foot+ hose reels for various types of yard and garden watering. I just replaced one of the hoses after about 10 years. It had kinked and cracked and was ready to burst, so it was about time. It was an inexpensive vinyl hose, so 10 years is not too bad (even if it came with a "lifetime" warranty.) The other hoses are more expensive and still functional. I had no trouble installing this and it appears to be very good quality, but as the title says, you have to use it for awhile to find out. Here are what I see for this hose:1. The hose appears to have a full 5/8" (.625") bore. None of the fittings have a narrowing, which can greatly reduce flow rate. Some hoses advertised as 5/8" have restrictions of less than 1/2" which greatly reduces flow.2. It was easy to unroll and install on the reel. I can tell that the reviewers who complained about tangles while unwinding the hose do not understand how hoses (and things like cabling) are wrapped. They are spooled. You cannot uncoil from either the center or the outside - you will get a tangled mess if you do that. You have anchor one end of the hose and put your arm through the center and walk out a100' to unspool it. You then connect it to the hose reel and reel it in. There are no tangles if done properly. These kinds of tangles resulting from improper unspooling makes it look like the hose kinks easily, but that is not the case. Any hose will appear to kink if not handled properly.3. This does not look like it will have a tendency to kink.4. The fittings appear to be good quality. I always use copper anti-seize compound on female fitting that is attached to the hose reel. It also appears that a failed fitting could be replaced relatively easily. Some hoses use specialized swaged fittings and stainless steel covers that would make replacement very difficult.5. The swivel handles on both ends are very handy. They are meant to slide off the end fittings in case you need direct access to the fittings. The swivel handles assist in moderate tightening and also provide strain relief on the ends of the hose, which the area where most hoses fail. If a user is really irritated with the swivel handle sliding down the hose, it would be easy to semi-permanently attach it with a few wraps of electrical tape. However, I really do not think this is necessary.6. At the end of the season, I always blow out the hoses with compressed air so the hoses and hose reel will not suffer any freeze damage in the winter. For best protection, you can then remove the hose from the reel and store it indoors, but that is a far amount of work.7. This is neither the cheapest nor the most expensive hose. This is not in the economy grade hose category. This one appears to me to be on the higher quality end of the spectrum. The warranty is somewhat short (2 years), but I am expecting a lot more if it is cared for and not abusedI will try to update my review over time, to provide feedback on how well it is holding up.

Only the best will do.
Until a year ago I had been more than satisfied with the heavy duty "kink resistant" hoses i have purchased from a major home improvement center in Wisconsin. That changed with the last hose purchased as it has no less than a half dozen nasty kinks, each of which will completely cut off flow. An on line search of "Best of 2025" reviews left me wondering if there is a true best as even top rated had their nay sayers . This hose is a favorite of many so I took the plunge. So far I find no faults with it. Out of the box it rolled out straight with only a slight curve at male end. Very flexible with no observed hint of wanting to kink even while whipping tight loops out of it while in use. L found much like coiling up a pressure washer hose, it is easiest to lay it on hard surface and let entire length roll a turn for each coil created. An unexpected bonus was the handle built into each end which works much like a deep well socket. Allows me to go well beyond usual hand tight and assists in securing to faucet perhaps too close to house wall. I do intend to order another one like this one as soon as I finish this review.

Survives Texas sun
After 3 years in the Texas sun and heat, this hose is by far my favorite (out of 6-7 different hose brands). I got the 100 foot version, and it is the best balance of flexibility, minimal kinking, and ease of winding on my hose reel. It's not so stiff that it I have to fight it after curves in my garden paths, but the walls are strong enough to have had no problems after 3 years, even though I leave the water on 80% of the time (with a nozzle-wand). ALSO -- it either doesn't mildew (like a very popular, very attractive, light green brand that I finally gave away out of disgust because of the gross mildew over the entire hose after less than one year in the hot humid Texas weather), or it is minimal.

Leaked but fixable. Nice tightening grip.
Was a real you know what to unravel and put around my hose reel. The end that connect to the nozzle did not leak at all. The end that connects to the reel leaked. I tried adjusting the little black gasket, but that didn’t work. I ended up using a sealing silicone plug wrap thing and that worked. No leak! Other than that, it’s a great hose. I like that it didn’t flatten as I wrapped around my hose reel. Also like the grip that helps you tighten the nuts. Nice and easy on the hands.

great quality!
we were looking for a new good quality hose and this did not disappoint! we had to have someone attach it to a post for us but that was the only tricky part. it’s easy to pull out and you just tug it to keep it from rolling back up. and it rolls back up FAST. the material of the hose is very durable so we know it will last. we have a pretty big backyard and this is long enough to get to each corner to water all of our flowers!

Extremely satisfied
Yes, it's just what we needed. Very difficult to find a hose this length with both ends female end. We tried to adapt the regular hose, but it always leaked. It was delivered quickly, and the quality is excellent. Couldn't be more satisfied with the product.

I guess no sprinkler or water hose is perfect.
Well the snap-on end snapped on and will not come off. Being made of plastic one only wants to assert so much pressure so because the mini max needs to be drained after each use I screw it on and off on and off the old way. (That's one star) Water is very expensive in CA unless you are so rich you don't care you have to be careful how you water, squeezing the max out of every single drop. I have found that spot watering certain areas instead of just running the old in-ground automatic sprinklers longer can save a little on the water bill . Thing is you can't forget it is on or not set it in the exact right place. Oscillating style is not best way to save money but it can help . This mini max can so-so control the size and shape of area that is covered. ( the 2nd star) Using those little multi pattern sprinklers can take care of the rest of the spot watering thus you aren't double watering or wasting water with run off. Best of luck to all of us and our utility bills this year.
