MadBite KastKing Aluminum Fishing Pliers.

I notice a big difference when unhooking the fish compared to my cheap pliers. The spring tension on the pliers is really good. The molded grips on the handle are comfortable and work great when your hand is wet. It has a line cutter (cuts both monofilament and braid) and works as split ring plier. I use it exclusively for saltwater fishing. 3 in 1 tool: You can unhook fishes, cut your line and add split rings. A must have for every fisherman. I highly recommend.

I took these with me on a fishing trip to Canada. The primary purpose was going to be pulling hooks from Northern Pike and Walleyes.The build quality is excellent, and the bite is precise. I love that they have line cutters as well as a hard cutter. They are light and strong, and the grip does not slip.However I really don't like the tooth on the end. I understand the purpose is to open split rings but in my experience you lose a lot of basic plier functionality by having it there. It was much harder to pull hooks with it, and you can't use it to get stuff in tight spaces like you would have with normal needle nose pliers. I would up using my hookouts a lot more as these were cumbersome to use for that purpose.

If you are into fishing then you should really get this multi-function plier! It can cut fishing lines, hold fish, hold fishing lines, crimp sleeves, and crimp split shot weights. What else do you want? In the video, you could see that it easily cuts #80 braid line with ease every single time! Grips are spring loaded and open up the tip with no problems. Being aluminum I don't have to worry bringing it near salt water!

Right out-of-the-box, you could tell this is going to be a quality set of fishing/utility pliers. The durable aluminum pliers come in a handy sheath, and not only are they Velcro'd in for safety, they are attached to the sheath via a carabiner and flexible cord. They also have a non-slip rubber grip on the handles.While I don't normally use pliers to pull hooks, these performed flawlessly, and were used specifically to test them. The cutter tool easily cut from 6lb test monofilament, to 60lb test braided line. As I own many MadBite and KastKing items, I knew they'd perform flawlessly.While they are not significantly cheaper than others on the market, they ARE cheaper, and MadBite quality has been impeccable for me. This is another one of their products I can't recommend enough. No need to buy something with someone's name attached to it, when you're getting the same quality here for less money.

Pliers fit comfortably in my hand and have a good weight to them, not heavy, but not flimsy. Used the braid cutter when rigging up and made clean cuts to the line. We go fishing just about everyday. I have a chair with metal legs, and my pliers and glove are always attached to the chair by a very strong magnet which hangs from a spiral cord. So every time I need them, I don't have to get up, and I don't have to look for them; there hanging right there next to me. Sometimes even my husband and son have some difficulty getting the fish off the hook. These pliers always work and do the job more quickly. As long as I have my glove and my pliers, I don't need anyone to take my fish off the hook for me. I highly recommend these pliers!

I ordered 2 sets of pliers. One for my wife and the other for myself. We do allot of saltwater wade fishing. We both use braided line. We fish both topwaters and some soft plastics. It’s important that we have a good tool for cutting braid and for hook removal. On one set the cutters had such a gap between blades, it couldn’t even make enough contact to cut. The other set cut fine, but the pliers were offset. So much that when I was trying to remove hooks, it was hard to even get a grip on the hook. I had to return both sets. IMO, this shows a huge lack of quality control. I wouldn’t recommend this manufacturer to any serious fishermen or fisherwomen.

These Madbite fishing pliers are great! The spring loaded design is easy to use and the soft grip prevents them from slipping out of my hand. They are durable and made out of corrosion resistant materials with a 5 year warranty. The tungsten carbide cutters cut through my fishing line with ease and the precision tip of the pliers includes a crimper and a tooth to open split rings. The included sheath and lanyard keep the pliers within reach and prevent them from falling in the water. They are perfect for kayak fishing and I like that the sheath has belt loops for both horizontal and vertical orientation. I really like these pliers, they are perfect for fishing but also suited for other uses around the house.

Big fish season is upon me, I am about to head out to the Caribbean for 2 weeks intensive fishing, , dark mornings and dark nights are prime time for predator fishing so I was delighted to see a set of pliers with a bright led torch attached..I have bought from MadBite before and I was not disappointed at all.Close up the quality of the aluminium casting, the screw heads, jaw alignment, handle shapes, all reveal a very high level of detail applied to the manufacturing process and the final quality of the product.A sharp cutting blade for monofilament line and braid, narrow nose for deep hook removal ( while keeping your hands out of the business end of the fish's mouth) a nice couple of loop holes in the handles to attach a lanyard, a solid spring mechanism.The torch head is small and unobtrusive and has a simple rotate on and off by twisting mechanism, the beam lines up right to the end of the pliers( well designed indeed)The coating finish is even and crisp.In summary these are not cheap and the quality shines through ( a bit of a trade mark of Mad Bite tackle , everything is very well made by them )Super bit of kit, I really do love them, looking forward now to putting them to excellent use in a few weeks time

I am updating from the good review that I originally wrote as these pair of pliers are useless. The cutting tool is naf and fell apart after two cuts, the little light fell off, all due to the fixings and threads that hold them are terrible quality. The crimping cups will not crimp any size sleeve as the pliers flex way too much. All in all a total waste of money as I can't use any of the features.

This is a present for my brother. Looks and feels good quality, hope he likes it

Wie immer, schnelle Lieferung, Verpackung und Artikel OK. Die Zange deckt alle Anforderungen für einen ambitionierten Angler ab. Auch kleine Spreng-Ringe lassen sich sehr gut montieren. Schneidet zuverlässig auch kleinste Durchmesser von multifilen Schnüren zuverlässig - ohne Ausfransen ab. Zum Haken lösen eher ungeeignet. Für kleine Hände jedoch ist die Zange einfach zu groß. Das Spiral-band ist zu kurz. Die Tasche ist einfach sch***** - shitstorm.

Sehr gute Griffigkeit selbst bei feuchten/nassen Händen!Einziges Manko, wozu es auch ein Stern Abzug gibt ist,dass die Zange minimal einen Spalt hat. Sonst aber TOP

Sehr scharfe und zuverlässige Schneide in guter Position. Materialverarbeitung macht einen soliden Eindruck und hat mich bislang nicht im Stich gelassen. Kann dieses Produkt weiter emfehlen.

Ho acquistato la pinza per poterla usare per prendere piccoli magneti....ma a contrario di quanto descritto non e' in alluminio perche' i magneti si appiccicano impedendomi di lavorare...

produit parfait livraison ok reste a voir dans le temps niveau corrosion en mode pêche mais au vu de l'aspect du produit il ne devrait pas y avoir de probleme reste pour le prix un produit tres satisfaisant

基本機能に特化したライト無しモデルを選択しました。色は日本ではあまり見ないゴールド色でゴムの黒色といい感じでマッチしています。目立ので暗い堤防の上でもすぐ見つかりそう。 閉じた状態での全長は約19cm。本体はアルミ製でヒンジのガタツキもなくスムーズでしっかりしてます。取っ手部分にはゴムが焼き付けてあり凸凹が指にぴったり合い持つた感じも良好。バネ内蔵で自然に開きます。ここで閉じたままのストッパがあればさらに便利でしょう。先端はステンレス製で交換できるようになってます。先端幅は約3mm幅。ラインカッターは厚い鋼でできておりPEもナイロンも思いのほかスパスパ気持ちよく切れます。根元にあるからでしょうか。ストラップとホルダーがおまけでついていますが、敢えて言えばホルダーのベルト穴の位置が中央でなくもう少し上にあると重量バランスが取れてよかった思います。全体的に満足していますが、1000円台後半のプライヤも多い中もう少し価格が安ければベスト。価格の点で星-1かな。

レッドのライト付きのみスプリットリング対応の形状じゃないようです。色とサイズの選択肢で形まで変わるのは不親切です。
