It's fast!
Blisteringly fast when transferring via USB3 and even seems faster than my previous card reader when using USB2 (but I'm not sure that isn't just psychological) :-) The reader has a sturdy build quality so I don't worry about stuffing it in my camera bag to take on a shoot when needed. My CFast 2 card takes a while to appear when inserted but that may always be the case with this type of card (I don't have anything to compare against as it's my first and so far only CFast 2 card!). The magnetic base is nice touch as I can attach the reader to side of my PC tower.

It’s magnetic and fast!
This is a crazy fast card reader and transfers video files and photos in seconds from my card shot on Nikon D780. You should be aware that it is magnetic - didn’t realise this when I bought it until it grabbed my headphones! It even has a metallic sticker so you can stick it to your laptop for convenience. I am nervous about sticking it to my new MacBook Pro even though I’ve read that it’s ok to do so. Fortunately the usb c to usb c cable included is long enough to keep it away from the MacBook!

Works good, it will not fail you
I tested the reader on 2011 MacBook Pro (usb2.0), 2013 MacBook Air (usb3.0) and 2016 Lenovo x1 carbon (usb3.0). I was copying a 3gb folder with 205 photos and checked the time of reading/writing. And I used 2 v30 extreme sdcards - one is brand new and one from 3 years ago.In short, all laptops benefit from the reader comparing to my old reader (usb2.0 which could be the case). Here more details:1. MBP 2011read52- in laptop reader153 - old reader96 - new readerwrite53 - in laptop reader171 - old reader105 - new readerInterestingly, mbp internal reader was the fastest which I didn’t expect. So if you have any MacBooks with internal reader, probably, you can save money. But the new reader was faster than my previous one even on usb2.02. MB Air 2013read150 - old reader30 - new readerwrite171 - old reader41 - new reader3. X1 carbon (Windows 10) 2016read147 - old reader (avg.speed - 19 Mb/s)34 - new reader (avg.speed - 88Mb/s)It’s my corporate laptop, so due the security I can’t write to external drivers and I didn’t test the writing speed. It’s amazing how faster the reader on usb3.0 devices. Unfortunately, I don’t own any other usb3.0 readers to compare with ProGrade, but I’m happy with the results. Why 4 stars?Firstly, because internal MBP reader is twice faster.Secondly, iPadPro 9.6 doesn’t support ProGrade, so no use for it which is bummer - I was hoping to speed up my xt3 raw files transfer.Overall, if you work on windows usb3.0 or even 2.0 machines or newest MacBooks without the internal reader and looking for a decent good quality reader - ProGrade is recommended.

fast
Fast reader that's highly recommended. Been using a standard transcend card reader for years but this thing blows that away. It may seem a little expensive side but if you do a lot of photography and regularly have hundreds of shots to download then this reader is for you. Just bought a couple of Prograde cards to go with it but haven't used them yet but reviews show phenomenal write and read speeds...

Keeps crashing
I bought one of these in December 2019 to use with my Canon 1dx2 and SanDisk cards. From the outset It often crashed mid-transfer eventually making transferring even short movie files impossible.Yesterday (24 March 2022) I bought a much cheaper one from Integral, which works as it should. I wish I'd done so much sooner.

Needs a longer cable, but otherwise good
My only issue is I wish the packaged cables where longer. Otherwise it's fast and convenient, especially the magnetised base
