I used other bluegill poppers that catch bluegill all the time. These tend to catch bluegill about 1/4 less than the other ones I bought. It seems like the bluegills bite at the foam legs or the tails rather than the hook, which is why I can't get as many hookups. This might work much better for some bass or much larger bluegill, but overall, I will be buying the other bluegill poppers to catch bluegill.The other option would be to cut off the legs and trim the tails, but I still seem to get less hookups. Could just be the hooks themselves, I don't know. Not saying they won't catch bluegill, but in my experience, they catch less than the other ones I buy. As stated by a previous reviewer, these are hook size 8. Great for Crappie, Sunfish, Bluegill, but too small for Bass. They are well tied, and panfish like them.

These are a size 8. Way too small to be attractive for bass. The hook is a short shank which means the bass is not likely to receive a solid hook set. Might be OK for panfish which is the only reason I gave it 2 stars. For bass definitely a 0.

Good little poppers for the price. Paint chips easily. Not good for bass. They work great for sunfish. I’ve spent a lot of afternoons catching non-stop sunfish on these. Worth the money! Just use them for little sunfish.

Ordered for my husband. He says that they work great. They pop through the water really good. They are just bigger than he prefers.

Not much of a "popper" but they still hit it, they have more of a flat face than a a cupped one
