The X-Blade Dual Mulching Blade Adapter Kits were designed to turn your ordinary side discharge commercial mower into an extreme grass pulverizing machine. The X-Blade Dual Mulching Blade Adapter Kits come in several options, please make sure to measure your blades. The X-Blade Dual Mulching Blade Adapter holds your original blade and an additional mulching blade at a perfect 90 degree angle. Your original blade (lower) will give the clean height of cut and the mulching blade above, with multiple cutting edges, pulverizes the cut grass as it cycles through the deck chamber dramatically reducing grass clipping size. With the use of the X-Blade Dual Mulching Blade Adapter Kit you can not only mulch but bag more efficiently as well. This kit allows you to bag the grass with more vacuum and grass packing than ever before, as well as side discharge with confidence. Also, when using The X-Blade Dual Mulching Blade Adapter Kit, you are ensuring a perfect balance to the machines blade spindles, which will not allow blade slippage, which can cause a blade to over torque and become nearly impossible to remove. We do recommend lowering the RPM’s when you engage and disengage the PTO clutch. The X-Blade Dual Mulching Blade Adapters fit all standard commercial mower blades that are 3″ wide, 3/16″ thick and have a 5/8” or 15/16″ center hole. Mower blades used with the X-Blade Dual Blade Adapters must be FLAT, COMMERCIAL MOWER BLADES

Moderately well impressed.
I have a Craftsman Pro lawnmower. A bit heavier duty than they typical craftsman, but I'm not sure that it's considered "professional" quality. This X blade adapter will not fit the stock blades - you've got to be using 3 inch wide blades. In my case, I got two G5 Gator blades that fit the spindle (5 point star) and two G5 Gator blades with a 9/16 center hole. Put the star adapter blade on top, then the X blade adapter, then the 9/16 center hole blade on the bottom.I experience no shaking, no vibration, nor any other ill effects. The mower is doing a slightly better job of mowing. I think the quality of the mulch has improved a little. The most noticeable improvement is the bagger. There is more air pressure, which pushes clippings, leaves, and pine straw through the chute better. The 24 horse engine has plenty of power to drive the X-blades. I don't hear or feel any detrimental effects on the electric clutch (or, power takeoff, if you prefer).Value . . . As with so many things, I feel these are a little overpriced. Basically, you're paying $15 for each pair of blades. The adapters aren't all that complicated, no machine work or milling involved. It's just a stamped bit of metal, with the edges folded to conform to the outer edges of your blades. I think the price should come down about 30%, to be honest.I'm giving them 4 stars right now. If the adapters last more than a year, I'll try to remember to give them another star.

Way over priced. Why pay $45 when you can get for $15.
They worked ok but got a second set for my other blades. They were a $15 set from a knock off brand on amazon. I know they made the first set but $45 for three small chunks of metal is crazy. This same company then goes and makes knockoffs blades of other companies. The cheap $15 X adapters were even better fitting than this set. They had better specs and worked the same way and didn’t cost $45 like this set did.

Didn’t fit properly
Product probably works as described, however it wouldn’t fit our mower properly. Blades and brackets wouldn’t fit after the needed washers were placed. Had to return.

X Blade
The concept seems good but I didn’t use them because I think that it’d put a lot more stress on my mower.

Horrible vibrations
Deck vibrated really bad after installation. Only lasted less than a month and one already failed and would not hold the blades in place. They did mow nice while they lasted but the vibration is what really turned me off from purchasing again. Too hard on the deck and spindles.

Do not buy for john deere zero turns
No good way to balance the stack up and it can easily destroy your spindles, so far out that it stalled my z535m. Made a spacer to go into the thru whole to was to big but it did not help, avoid if you can.
