well balanced and easy to set uo
my desk has a back on it and drawers so a drilled hole or back clamp were not feasible - i also wanted a flat base so that the area under the monitors could be used. This was for the left two monitors of a three monitor set up where i wanted a big space under the central monitor to slide the wacom when not in use. So two monitors to the left with the stand to the left side and the right monitor on its own stand to the right and a gap between. This works perfectly and because the arms have a hinge in the middle it means the monitors can be angled slightly in towards each other (a shallow V) and this also allows them to almost touch the central post meaning the weight is well back so there is no chance of them tipping over. On opening the box i thought the moulded plastic cable clips were a bit cheap and cheerful but actually they are really useful and the idea of having slots in the central one for the allen keys is sheer genius because when you come to adjust these things years after installation you can never find the appropriate keys without a big search. Finally one thing is very important for setting this up - when you are first hanging the monitors on it, work out the distance between the bottom of the monitor and desktop and get some books of this height so that the first monitor will sit on them when you attach it - otherwise the whole thing will tip over and be very unwieldy - with that first monitor soundly sitting on the books the second monitor is easy to put in place. I did not have the problem mentioned by some reviewers concerning the loose fit of the vesa bracket into the slot on the arm. It was good that this was a loose fit because otherwise it would be tricky to slot the monitors on to the stand but OTOH the slight lean from this can be compensated for by tipping the monitor back slightly. This was so good that after two days i decided to replace the stand on the third (right) monitor with the matching single monitor stand given the advantage of the completely flat low base.

Great Monitor stand
Why did you choose this product over others?:No Need to hassle wit clamping, sits directly on the desk. Using this with 2x 27" Monitors and works perfectly. Easy to manoeuvre around.

Fantastic free standing arm
This is brilliant. Great quality and easy to put together. I needed one that would be free standing for a built in desk where I couldn't clip to the back of the desk. Fast delivery too.

Easy to Assembly with nice clear Instructions
Very easy to assembly with nice clear instruction. However, I would suggest that you need either need another person when adding the second monitor, or use something like books to support the first monitor, so that it doesn't topple over. I especially like the packaging for the accessories, as they came in one large bag, with each set of screws/washers etc. clearly labelled in its own individual section (within the bag) - a great idea, as it meant everything was kept together, and you just needed to open the section of parts that you needed.

Durable
So after 16 months of having this. I ended up changing to have the stand fixed into the unit. Having 2 ASUS TUF 27Inch Monitors is great.. Not sure if I didn't see a advisory.. But the larger the screen, the greater the weight, meaning more chance of the stand tipping over. COG (Centre of Gravity) Needs to be far back in order to reduce this from loosing the monitors. Even if you have one set back and you attempt to pull a monitor forward. Weight seems to shift in the aspect of the size of the monitors as due to the weight its more prone to tilt or become unbalanced.Price was as reasonable as the weight of the stand, the Durability and sturdy feel. Tampered glass base looked nice. If anyone is like me, I want both screens the same, not to mention the same size. But this is, more for recommendations 14"-24".You can place a weight, or have one monitor size smaller, but it will still be unbalance the load when returning to "COG". Any disturbance in the surrounding area could, not saying would, but affect the stands position if left unattended. So if you have both monitors the same size. As soon as you move the monitor away from the "COG" its chances of tipping over is more is guaranteed 90%.I did keep a cover on this, to reduce the amount of dust accumulated. Make sure nothing catches it. This will guarantee in falling over. Monitors ended up being scratched from tipping.

Custom PC parts
Bought to use with the monitors on my custom build tower.Works perfectly with the monitors BUT, they can't hold the weight of the bigger screen sizes they say they support. The base just isn't heavy enough unless you're only holding up 1 over dead centre or close to it.

Priced appropriately
Product is simple and easy enough to assemble. The point where the VESA mount interacts with the bracket is very loose which is frustrating. Have had to shove paper in to stop screens from wobbling. Another reviewer mentioned this issue in much better detail.
