Great smart home hub for smartthings
Great product that works well. Great customer service from Aeotec. First one was faulty so reported it to aeotec who sent another one out to replace it free of charge.

Pleasantly surprised!
I already have a smart home set up, and use a Samsung SmartThings hub to control Zigbee & Z-Wave devices. I'm also a stubborn so and so, and I insist on having everything working via HomeKit and Siri, so I run HomeBridge too (Actually using Hoobs now as I prefer the interface).I have 99% of my kit working just how I want. The only issue I have with my current set up is that the front door DanaLock V3 keeps disconnecting from the Z-Wave network on my SmartThings V2 hub and stops responding. I've tried the DanLock Bridge, it's not reliable from outside the house and has no WiFi integration to HomeKit - a big flaw. All my research said that SmartThings can only handle one hub at a location, but as I said, stubborn so and so, so I decided to give the Aeotec hub a try. I figured at least the newer hardware may have a better Z-Wave transceiver. The Aeotec connected to my SmartThings app very easily. Used the QR code on the device and the app adopted the hub and allowed me to configure for WiFi. To check I logged into my online SmartThings account and both hubs were showing connected at my Home location. So I unpaired the DanaLock from the SmartThings hub (ignore any online instructions, just hit remove in the app and press the reset button on the lock - no need to go into Z-Wave utilities). Then re-added the lock, this time picking the Aeotec hub (which I've located right by the side of the lock). The device showed up fine, strait away - SmartThings definitely can handle 2 hubs at the one location.Even better, I went into the Automations section of the app and the Homebridge settings, added the new entry for the lock to the devices list, and there is was, back available in HomeKit.Overall it took about 15 minutes to migrate the lock to the new hub and have everything working how I wanted. It remains to be seen if the lock stays connected to this hub, but if it doesn't I'm pretty sure that's more of an issue with the lock (rebooting it reconnects it to Z-Wave, but that needs me to open it and pop the batteries).

Out of date hub - Obsolete
Aeotec have a known issue with this hub. New ones look for an NTP time server and issue a certificate to allow install. There is a batch of these hubs that will never install unless you block NTP on your router (if you are able) and even then I could not get it to install. This item I received was manufactured in 2022! Aeotec admit people will have to end up returning the units. Please take the old ones off the shelves and do not sell. It's just a brick.Very unhappy and have returned. I've ordered an Aqara hub which also works with smartthings.

Consolidates most of the smart home
Purchased for the Zigbee integration, the Alex and Z-wave is an added bonus.Fiddly to set up, but now configured provides the remote control I wanted and of more devices, than expected, hadn't expected to control my Sonos device remotely, shame Hive doesn't integrate (but can't have everything)

Elevating Home Automation with the Aeotec Smart Home Hub
The Aeotec Smart Home Hub has taken my home automation to another level. This device has allowed me to consolidate all my smart home devices into one app, accessible across Apple, Android, and even Windows PCs. The convenience and ease of use this provides is unparalleled. One of the standout features for me is the ability to connect SmartThings with my car. This innovative feature allows me to control my home automation, such as opening or closing the garage or checking on my home, all while driving.Previously, I had to keep my lights on the Philips Hue bridge and other devices on their respective Zigbee bridges. However, the Aeotec Smart Home Hub has allowed me to bring them all into one place, simplifying my setup and making device management a breeze. The hub works great with a variety of devices including my Ikea smart blinds and sensors, as well as Sonoff equipment. The compatibility and seamless integration with these devices have been impressive. In conclusion, the Aeotec Smart Home Hub is a highly recommended product for anyone looking to elevate their home automation experience. It’s user-friendly, versatile, and truly enhances the convenience of managing smart home devices.

Smartthings hub
This is a smartthings hub and can connect other products too depending what they are. This works as a zigbee hub. And you can normally just connect the devices to this.Id still recommend connecting them through their own brands hub to ensure full functionality.Overall good product.

Returned - Cannot easily migrate
I have a SmartThings hub embedded within my Samsung TV, with dongle for zigbee devices.I wanted to replace this software hub with a physical hub that also supports ZWave. So I decided to get this device which is the natural progression.Unfortunately I could not use the "Replace Hub" option to migrate to this hub. It displayed an error that it cannot migrate from a hub that has a dongle.I removed my dongle and associated devices, rebooted my TV. Same error.I was loathed to move hundreds of devices manually, so I decided to return this device and just live a life without ZWave.Sort out the migration tool Samsung!
