The perfect gift
Easy to assemble using the guide provided.I would say though a 10yo might not get it all on its own but with some guidance this is a perfect gift.(Oh and you can disassemble it too. Might be helpful if you wish to customise it by colouring or changing some part)The lens however was a bit hard to fit inBecause there was a bit of trail left while machining it (tolerance was just a bit high for lens only)Other parts are well made and pretty precise in cut.The guide book also explains how to use the telescope and includes some basic trigonometry (just not as you might study, but how you would use it, obviously to a level that a 10yo can understand)The zoom.. I would say is not much good but Hey it works pretty well and you can see letters on paper from upto 2 fathoms!Overall 10/10Love the product

Nice product
The telescope is an engaging toy. It will keep your kid engaged for the entire afternoon. Plus the joy when it is completed and they try to figure if really the objects look closer through something that they have created is next level. Overall Good product design

Fun with assembly; But basic lenses provided reduce fun of end product
The kit has very good documentation about how to assemble the product. Having said that, I felt constant assistance from elders are required for proper assembly. As for parts, the telescope feels solid once assembled, and the telescope eyepiece movement is good. Unfortunately, the lenses are made from plastic, and there is significant image distortion at higher magnification settings. The magnification achieved with telescope itself is very less.Having said this, I still believe it is fun for kids to assemble and play with the final product,; I just wish the lens quality was better

Ridiculously Stupid.
Is this a smart activity Toy for an 8 years old or for an 80 years old.By the time the 8 year old child completes this Project (hopefully assuming the child does) the child will be 18 years old.The Designers of this nonsense seem to have absolutely no idea of Children. Unlike an Adult, Children have very short Attention Span, not likely more than 15 t0 30 minutes max.All the other Customer Reviews are Bogus. It is very likely, it is the Parents themselves who completed the Project. Honesty will be appreciated.Only plus point is , it is very cheap and I don't regret throwing it into the Dust Bin.
