A well made pan - but will it last?
At this point in my life I have purchased more non-stick pans than I can shake a stick at. Within the last couple of years I have purchased granite pans made by Kolex. While they held up well to scratching, the non-stick only lasted about 8 to 10 months with almost daily use. So this time around, and based on some testing by the creator of a You Tube channel called "Project Farm", I have decided to give the Green Pan a try.I have only used this pan a couple of times and it has performed very well so far. It has one of the best non-stick surfaces of any pan I have ever tried. It is a solid well made pan with good weight and nice balance. It also came completely assembled. The handle is securely attached and does not get hot when in use. Time will tell when it comes to durability, but what I have seen so far I like.Buying a Green Pan is somewhat of an experiment for me since I normally do not spend this much for a frying pan. And at this point I cannot really recommend it since I don't know if spending the extra money will be worth it in the long run. Time will tell and I will update my review either when this pan starts to stop being non-stick or has lasted longer than any other pan I have tried....we will see !!WHY THE GREEN PANBack in the day Teflon was king, but as most people know they eventually start to flake and those flakes can be poisonous. So starting about 10 years ago I made a concerted effort to get pans that were PFOA/PFAS free. However, finding one that is safe but also lasts a long time is not an easy task and contrary to popular belief, and what manufactures will tell you, there are no non-stick pans that last forever...period...end of story. Which is why I normally do not spend this much for a frying pan - they simply do not last. If you want a pan that lasts forever, buy stainless steel or cast iron. The best I have gotten from a non-stick pan has been about a year. Now that is using the pan 4-5 times a week, so take that for what it's worth. The reason I choose this pan is based on the testing of Project Farm mentioned earlier. He designs very unique tests to determine if a product holds up to the manufacturer's claims and how well it does against the competition...great channel and one I highly recommend. While the Green Pan was not the best in every category, it scored the highest in the durability test where a hardness test kit was used to measure the durability of the surface of all the test pans. The Green Pan was the only one to reach level 6...very impressive.Based on my experience, the hardness of the surface makes a huge difference in how long a non-stick pan will last. Some of the pans tested did a little better on some of the non-stick tests, but were very easily scratched. Even though I use mostly wooden or plastic utensils, if a pan's surface is too soft even wood can scratch it. Meaning it will start to flake at some point and even though it might not be toxic, I do not want that in my food. Plus, if the non-stick surface of the pan breaks down, logic dictates food will start to stick.I also took into consideration how I use the pan. While I do use it often for things like making bacon and frying eggs, I also do a lot of stir fry type meals where you would use a wooden spoon to mix and stir the contents, making considerable contact with the non-stick surface. In the last case the hardness of the pan is a key factor versus things like; evenness of heat (difference between hottest and coolest part of pan), and thermal efficiency (how quickly it heats up), which do not really factor in.So my decision to buy the Green Pan, and spend more than I normally do, is based mainly on the durability factor...for me that just makes sense - for you it might not !!

Great pan
These pans are excellent. Food sticks less than Teflon. Durable, cooks well and easy to clean and non toxic.

Terrible experience
Used this pan for a month. Babied it by always handwashing, using no heat above medium, heating briefly then adding cooking oil, not using spray or metal utensils - all the rules. It has already lost non-stick properties. Eggs - the only thing I make in this - are a disaster. Customer support said oh just wash it with a Mr. Eraser. Did not help at all. They said oops - sorry, no refunds after 30 days! It's been just over that period and so they are refusing a refund bc apparently the pans are only meant to last 30 days? Tramontina and T-fal pans have held up much better (I mean, we're talking about ONE MONTH of gentle use with the Greenpan) Wanted to try the ceramic coating of Greenpan, but am extremely disappointed in the quality of the pan and the smug customer service.

Great pan, but lasts about a year
This is my third ceramic pan from green pan. With proper care, no olive oil, and no dishwasher, the ceramic non stick will last about a year. Can’t find a pan that lasts longer. This feels like a terrible waste, but I give my old pans to kids to play with in their mud kitchens.

I love this thing
I wouldn’t have thought I’d actually feel enthusiastic about a pan. But this thing is really nice. And I mean, these are Paul Hollywood approved, they use these on Bake-off. The nonstickness of this pan is so good, it heats up quick, it feels substantial and well made but it’s light in the hand, and because it really is super non stick, it’s really easy to clean to looking like new because it just wipes right out. This pan feels high quality, is a good price, performs well, and cleans easily so this pan is worth sounding corny for.

Very Well Made
I use it for cooking eggs. I use olive oil and low heat. Everything comes out perfect.. no sticking whatsoever. This is an excellent pan.

Really is non-stick
This pan really is non-stick, much more so than the teflon-type pans that I replaced. Admittedly the pans I replaced were getting older and perhaps the non-stick qualities had seen better days, but this pan is in a completely different league. Although the pan's directions state that it heats up faster and at lower temperatures than its counterparts, I don't really find that to be the case (using a natural gas cooktop), but that's not really a detractor once you get used to it. Cleaning is very easy even when the pan has cooled completely (I wouldn't recommend ever putting the pan in water when it's still hot to avoid warping). I would definitely recommend this pan.

6 months and still going strong
This is a really great non-stick pan that is equal in performance to Teflon and TFal pans that I have used, with the added benefit of being a health conscious choice. I spray a bit of Pam before cracking in eggs and have no problem with anything sticking. Even when I make scrambled eggs nothing sticks to the pan. I always hand wash this pan and it is extremely easy to clean, even around the grommets. The reviews about warping or losing the non-stick qualities seem to be using too high of heat. Nonstick pans aren't ideal for searing and eggs don't require high heat, so I don't understand the complaint. This also heats very evenly and pancakes turn out great.
