Very good quality, smaller than I expected. Very nicely packaged.

The CONS:I do really like this notebook, but it loses a star due to the fact that despite being leather, it is not soft leather (maybe it can be conditioned with leather conditioner somehow?) and that it has their branding on the front corner as well as the stupid "Leave a Legacy" blurb on the inside. If the branding weren't so apparent (like Moleskine and Rhodia make theirs in black rather than stamped in silver, which stands out as if I had them stamped there as my own. The branding is on the back in a subtle way already, so I'm not sure why they felt the need to to this to the front as well.The PROS:It's actually real leather (rather than one of umpteen others that dishonestly advertise theirs as leather). The paper is high quality and smooth, with rounded corners and silver gilded edges. Pages are numbered and have narrowly spaced lines to write on. The top and bottom of each page has room for a heading or footnote. There's a nice silver ribbon stitched into the binding which is also of high quality and stitched. The front includes a table of contents. The back has no pocket, which would bulk things up and I never seem to need anyway.I like it a lot. I just wish they'd improve things a bit to make it 5 stars so I'd love it and not always be looking for a competitor who has a 5-star notebook without the things I dislike.

I write a lot, but often it's on a computer. I have found that going to meetings it's less intrusive to take written notes, and I tend to remember the details if I do. As an elected official, having something that works and works well is really important. I have used this notebook for recording meetings and I like it a lot better than all the Moleskines I've been using through the years. The paper seems better, the cover is real leather and it feels like a Bible the way it handles. The pages are thick and won't wick through and there's even an index at the front so you can figure out where in the book your notes are. The only thing it doesn't have is an elastic band to keep it closed. I don't really need this, but if you do, just use a rubber band. This is a really really great notebook especially for the price. I wanted a journal that felt worn, and with a real leather journal you will only get that after a good amount of use. I have received a lot of nice compliments on it, and love using it. The pages are numbered and there is even a table of contents if you want to split up your use for this notebook. I love it. Will purchase another in the future.

Size is as described. It is not the deepest, but deep enough for what i'm using it for.

Decent. I like the leather, it feels like a bible.I am going to be keeping it but I am going to be picky based on the price.Not a fan of the glitter on the pages, it’s all over your fingers after touching it. The leather seems like it may have been wet at some point? It has some spots I’ve been working to get off. And there are some bad prints on some of the pages, nothing major very minor. But again it’s a $40ish notebook.I like the idea of it and the presentation is nice.

You get what you see, very beautiful book and very giftable, actually considering buying one for myself.
