There was so much choice of wasp catchers on Amazon. This one seemed well reviewed but was skeptical. However the wasp catchers are actually great, especially with the included bait that actually works, so much better than any homemade ones I have had to use before. As it states it takes about 24 hours for the mix to work (it’s a powder, you just add water)..but must say I’m impressed, not only catches wasps but most flies (loads of bluebottles that a really don’t like)..and to get 4 in a pack with the bait it represents really good value. I will certainly be purchasing more bait as it works brilliantly. The photo is after just 2 days and we are barely “bugged at all”

Inundated with flies so much so I had to stop them coming into the house. Bought a pack of 2, after a couple of hours three or four flies had been caught. After 5 days it's almost full (see picture) and almost no flies in the house.The smell others have reported I haven't noticed.Set up is simple, add a measured amount of water, pour in the powder from the sachet, hang out using the supplied twist tie. Easy.I'd rather not kill all those flies but with so many swarming into the house something had to be done and with a fish tank, sprays are not an option.Highly recommended

It's easy to use, fill water and hang outside. Now I have this twin set in the garden for 4 days. One of them catches around 30 bugs but the other none. It sadly catches a few bees as well.While it is meant to be recycled with additional bait provided, the bottle cover is impossible to open for refilling the bait. It will be too disgusting to recycle as well.

This is a brilliant product. We have a brook behind our fence and the public footpath so naturally suffer from lots of bugs. Put this near the rear of the garden and it’s full already! Good job the additional sachets are included 👍🏻Not sure what’s in it but it seems to catch flies very easily and with the mechanism on top (a slide up thing) they are trapped fairly well.Happy with the price too.Cheers

We were just absolutely inundated with flies this year due to the heat and proximity to our bins. I bought these as a heavy duty way to hopefully cull the numbers.I put one out near the bins and it's been there for about 3 weeks. I don't think it would be an exaggeration to say that it's killed thousands and thousands of flies (bluebottles especially!) in its lifetime. At first the sight of the flies grossed me out and I didn't want it to fill and become a torture chamber, so I emptied it slightly every other day and topped up the bait water. I stopped when the water was getting clear thinking I'd ruined it.As you can see, it's still going. I stopped emptying it, and it kept filling. I don't know if diluting the water helped extend its life, but it remains effective even if you just let it fill up. Just don't look at the towering spires of corpses and gasping victims. It probably doesn't need to be anywhere you can see it.It seems to become *more effective* as it fills and the dead flies flavour the water. They just file in one by one to the bottle of hell. The smell does become noticeable after a couple of weeks, so if it's close to you you'll need toAnd there's *two of them* in a pack, with a sachet of bait each. If you're brave enough you could empty the bottle and refill it with bait. I'm hoping to keep using the first one until the heat dies down, then I can hopefully save the other sachet and bottle for next year!Recommended. Begin the fly apocalypse.

Mixed thoughts on this product. Within a week it was almost full of flies - so it definitely DOES work well. However, I had a fly problem by my wheelie bins - which sit adjacent my front door (there is absolutely nowhere else they can be kept unfortunately). So I hung one of these above the wheelie bins. Like I said, within a week it was almost full of flies. However, I swear it is attracting even more flies to the area than I had an issue with in the first place - so despite it achieving what it says it does, it didn't solve my problem. I have now hung one of these of a tree down the pathway from my front door in the hope it will attract the flies there rather than attract them to my front door. So my review is YES it does what it says and works extremely well - but be wary about where you site it. Don't put it anywhere close to your house doors or windows as I think it will create a problem you may not have had in the first place.
