My 6-year-old niece loved this! She is always wanting to do her hair but is too young for anything permanent. So, this gave her the independence to do her own hair in fun styles. It was easy for her to use and figure out the different parts. Always excited when she does a new style. Good price point for fun.

I bought this for my 6yo daughter. Very cheaply made. The chalk applicator ripped out a bunch of her hair and there was hardly any color. The "bling" shapes are difficult to thread through the applicator. When applying, she complains that it is hurts (I think it pulls just a few strands that pull at the root). It is difficult to remove the protective plastic layers. It would be OK for use on dolls, but for human heads, I would not recommend.

Chalk didn’t apply much color, even on light hair. Tools with removable handle felt flimsy.

I got this for my daughter for her birthday. She had circled it in the Christmas catalog but it was sold out for Christmas. I decided to order it for her birthday which is in January. She was so excited to open it and we read all the instructions and followed the steps. Overall, it’s a piece of junk. It didn’t work and it was such a waste of money and my daughter was so disappointed.
