Dude this stuff grew so quick and THICK! Best grass seed I’ve ever bought. The grass came in lush, strong, and green and looks fabulous. Easy to spread as well. I’d use a spreader though because hand tossing causes clumps as it comes in so green.

This is cheap so I wasnt really expecting much when I was trying to find something to cover a few patches in my backyard where the dogs had dug up. But I was pleasantly surprised after I put it down and we had had a rain and in a couple of days I started seeing Little Sprouts in the areas that I covered. And now those spots are fully filled in.

Had some issues with the first bag I received. Label looked good, tested, and accurate, however the first bag did not germinate at all. Aerated, added some topsoil, starter fertilizer, laid the seed, top dressed with peat, watered lightly three times a day for two weeks. Nothing, the only thing that was showing signs was clover. I've never seen a whole bag fail before and the soil temps were perfect, also my first time buying grass seed on Amazon.Ordered a second bag, applied, covered with peat moss again, watered three times a day lightly, and germination started on day 4. It's coming in nicely now but I have no clue what was wrong with the first bag, so YMMV.In the process, Amazon driver destroyed my front lawn where I did minor renovations and they aren't responding to my claim at all.

To add to the lackluster performance, the color of the grass was dull and unappealing, rendering my once-lush green space an eyesore.As if that weren't enough, the grass was remarkably fragile and failed to withstand even moderate foot traffic. Within a few weeks, the grass began to thin out further, eventually dying off completely in some areas. In short, I cannot recommend the Pennington Kentucky 31 Tall Fescue Grass Seed 20 lb to anyone seeking to create a healthy and visually appealing lawn. I’ve been using this brand for a while. Over the years I’ve noticed a decline in germination rates. This year, it’s worth noting and posting a review. The only reason it gets 3 stars instead of 1 is because they do have great customer service. I keep my receipts, and they have a guarantee. So I was refunded for this years bags. If you do still want to use this brand, just know that you will basically have to COMPLETELY COVER the area intended for grass. You will get grass, but you’ll need A LOT of product. Then water it every single day, several times if needed because in order for grass seed to germinate it MUST STAY MOIST! Don’t lose hope people, you can have a beautiful yard/lawn, but it takes time. It takes years actually. I’m on year 3 and I still don’t have the lawn I desire. But I’m a do it myself type, and refuse to hire someone to do this. Ok, so the only other things to note is that this blend of seed is a fine fescue, and sometimes you will get growth, then it will die. You have to remember that you are forcing nature to do something it doesn’t want to do in most cases. If you have patches that die, it’s because of your soil. In that case, you need to amend those areas of your lawn. I hope this review helps you.

Living in this house I haven't been able to grow anything. I took my research to Amazon and found this product. My first batch wasn't all the great. The birds I think or maybe the wind got most of my seeds. However I did the hack of toilet paper mixed with seeds and water packed down in the area I needed during the colder months. It is now late spring and my grass has grown in nice and thick. I went ahead and ordered more. I've had old neighbors make comments about how nice the grass looks that has come in and how easy it was for me to grow. My newest batch of this seed has been placed down during mid spring and it too has started to show growth in just a few short days.
