PenningtonContractors Grass Seed Mix Central 7 lb

This product does exactly what it says. I mixed it with toilet tissue and water. It was a mushy consistency, spread it out and saw growth within four days. It was heavy rain at the time so what you see as a result of heavy rain and 2 1/2 weeks of growth. I never pulled my hose out to water The spaces. Do yourself a favor and buy this product. I purchased a total of 3 7pound bags and 2 20 pound bags. My yard is huge. I still have 27 pound bags to fill in the spaces. I left extra seed in the bag, placed it on the grass folded over. It rained for a little bit, and the seeds started growing inside of the bag.

I took a chance on this grass to fill in some bare spots in my front yard, and I am so impressed!! Within three days, it has sprouted like nothing I've ever seen! But you should know, I didn't just sprinkle the seeds on the ground and walk away. I prepared the dirt first: dug it up, filtered out all the rocks, then planted the seeds about 3/4 inch deep and covered them with a good quality compost-infused soil then soaked it all down with water. So definitely a little sweat equity. But man, look at the results! I'l report back after a few months with new pics. Really impressed with this grass seed, and only $16 for a decent sized bag. Looks like a good blend for my yard but time will tell. My opinion it needs to be added to creeping red and/or a rye grass for a faster growth of grass takes a while to germinate.

WOW!! My neighbors keep coming by and asking me how I got a whole front yard of grass within days… I pretend it’s all my hard work LOL!! I highly recommend this product, literally started growing within days and my yard looks BEAUTIFUL!!!!

I read several reviews and was trying to decide between Pennington and Scott’s. After long debate, I went with this product. I tested it by using it and Scott’s (side by side) on a small strip of grass between the road and public sidewalk. I’m not just underwhelmed by Pennington’s seed, I’ve become frustrated and unsettled over its lack of performance. So far, it’s looking like nothing more than a waste of time and money. I followed all instructions to the letter, even mowing, thatching, raking and aerating. The seed was distributed across the entirety of my back yard with a Scott’s broadcaster/spreader almost 3 weeks ago. I have timed sprinklers that run once in the early morning and again in the late evening. As far as I can tell, not one seedling germinated. From my experience, Scott’s is far superior. I used their seed at a lawn after new construction of my previous home. The ground was bare dirt, mixed with a little sand. Scott’s not only germinated and rooted well, it looked lush, green and was well-established by the end of the summer. I cannot recommend Pennington. Go with Scott’s.

Were looking for a product like a company used after fixing a broken pipe in our yard. This works fantastic for bare spots. It works fast. Some places I forgot to water & it's growing great.

Not the right product for patch reseeding existing lawns. I phoned their advice line and they informed me I bought the wrong product. Too late for refund because I've already dispensed it. Be careful what seed you buy

This stuff is awesome!!! I have a very shady backyard and this stuff works !! I’ve tried multiple different grass seed and this stuff grows within days! Definitely recommend.
