Worked Perfect all Winter.
We live full time in our RV. We had the unfortunate luck of having to spend the winter in Minnesota. Our absolute main concern was protecting our water supply line. This product, after doing an easy wrap job on your hose is, plug it in and forget it.I love how it only asks for enough energy based on temperature. We had many days in the -10° range with the coldest of -20° with -0 issues. I actually made my supply line from Pex tubing which made wrapping a bit easier.

Heats well
Works as advertised and it was able to thaw my frozen pipes and keep them from refreezing. I even used it to keep my drywall mud boxes warm. Make sure the sensor is in the elements, not connected to an inside outlet

Worked well, wish you could choose the temperature at which they turned on.
Used these to keep our pipes from freezing in Canada. They definitely worked, but I wish they offered more adjustability. The come on automatically at 4 degrees Celsius, 39F. Our copper pipes don't approach freezing until about -15C, 5F. So a lot of electricity is wasted because of this. They heat up fast and pretty hot. Warm to the touch when on. The tape they came with to fasten them to your pipes was pretty good too. Overall they worked well and were much cheaper than Home Depot's.

Works as described buy follow the directions
This is the second time I have purchased this product. I forgot that it is best to measure where you want to use the product as having too much left over or changing the way that it is installed to make it work. It is a stiff cord so need to know that when having easy access to wrap its easy to install, if in a difficult location such as working under a craw space it can be difficult to work with.

Works Well, Thermostat control for energy savings
I had real difficulty in finding heat tape in this short length. All of the local home improvement/hardware stores only sold it in much longer sizes. I had a problem with the sump exhaust to the dry well freezing last year, causing the sump level to rise and setting off the alarm. This product works very, very well. I'm happy that I was able to find the correct length. It has a thermostat control, too, so it turns off to save energy costs when the weather warms up. I will actually unplug it in another month or so and wait for next fall to plug it back in.

Awesome, but have a backup plan.
I first purchased this item in 2017 & it lasted eight years. I did expect it to last just five or six years so I am pleased. I know it has it's own thermostat, but I have it on a Sonoff TH-16 with temp probe so I can monitor the temperature and when the tape turns on / off. This unit protects my main water line and water meter, which had cost me $160.00 to replace when it froze in the past. Having the Sonoff in control let me know that this tape had reached it's end of life, and saved be a lot of money. This tape is awesome, and the $26.99 cost of this tape + the $30.48 cost of Sonoff, including extension cable, was well worth it.
