Bought some items that claimed to be made from opal, so I bought this blacklight to find out if they were real opal and they all floresced, proving that they were indeed. Good battery life, full functionality and easy to use, also good build quality.

Pretty quick to charge and lasts for my purposes. It's easy to use and a great bit of kit.

A little smaller than expected when I opened the package, but gives a strong UV light when in use. On the flip side of that it fits easily in a pocket, and weighs next to nothing! I bought it mainly to test and charge the lume on my watches, which it does with great effect - the lume shines bright when the UV light hits it, even during the day, and stays luminous in the dark for a long time after a very short time under the light. Also very handy that it is USB-C chargeable as pretty much all my cables are that type these days.Would be nice if there was a way of focussing the lens, as there's an intense bright spot in the centre, and a dimmer surround to it, but all in all would recommend.

So far - very impressed.As odd as this is…I genuinely bought this because I wanted to check on my cat with ringworm. A UV light can show active ringworm spores…as my vet had previously shown me under a black light that it was on the tips on his ears and a bit on his nose. This confirmed he still had it - but also meant the light works very accurately. It was difficult to get good photos because my cat did not want to keep still & I didn’t want to shine the torch in his eyes.Pleased with the torch. Not with the ringworm.
