A good way to "waste " several hours /days.
It came well packed. Nice clear instructions. it's taking a bit longer than i anticipated, but loving it. Some bits break easily, but with a clear strong glue and steady hands, all is ok !One of the better models !, .

Fantastic, beautiful, complex, exquisite - engineering brilliance.
My review title says it all. The quality of the product is superb though you do have to be careful in places. The instructions are very clear and warn you when you come to tricky bits, e.g. where to put pressure when fitting parts together (very helpful). I have done several ROKR models now and they have been excellent.

Lovely steam engine
The media could not be loaded. This model is great, easy instructions step by step. Spent a good few hours "about 10" so far on this. And now for the trailer, even done a little bench and lamp post for decorating next to it. It is brilliant little model and moving parts and lights are fantastic like a real steam model. Highly recommend.

Great Model
Great model. Gears work very well with fast and slow speed as well as forward and reverse.Instructions very good though I found the plastic tweezers useless, they easily bend, so I used my own.Maybe you will hate it, but I used pens to add extra colour. The pen style is in the picture, one end is a brush the other a small diameter point pen. I liked enhancing the edges of pieces with the colour of the piece, red or black. The black being the most affective. Black was also good at masking the end of tabs that pushed into a black surface.Colouring the pieces before building is easier, but in-situ colouring can work.As you can see, I have changed a lot of the colours, particularly to make parts roughly the colour they would be on a real traction engine, particularly brass items. The only problem if you want to put multiple colours on one piece the ink tends to “bleed” from one colour into another as the ink follows the grain of the wood. Letting the colour dry before adding another colour helps.

Good quality and value for money
My son bought this for my Husband. He loves it. It kept him busy (and quiet!) for several hours. Looks good!

A challenge this was
The build was a challenge but the trailer was a big let down for the price and the build quality the trailer was a big let down ruined the build totally.

Excellent build quality; clear, precise instructions; worked perfectly
This is a great model to build - but a little experience will help. If you take time, the final product works very well and looks great.
